A tribute to our beloved pirate Edward Kenway.
My favorite assassin's creed game by far.
A beautiful open world, a beautiful assassin's creed / pirate game.
I absolutely love edward and his story, his ambition to be the greatest pirate
and to find his fortune. Slowly realizing that the path he is walking will lead to nothing good.
And in the end trying to do right by the few people that still remain.

Even on opposing sides, at the end of his life, he found respect for his enemy and his principles. He may not be a "good" man per se, but he is an honorable one.
Torres was a good man, through and through.
He truly believed his convictions, Edward frustrated him because (like all pirates) he had no conviction to speak of, and Edward becoming someone with conviction made him a man of quality; it wasn't the fortune, it wasn't Great Inagua... it was his newfound conviction that made him an opponent worth respecting. A man of "quality".
All men need a reason to die. Not so much a reason to live.
Edward found something worth dying for, a conviction he held with all his heart. We should all be so lucky.

AC fan from day 1. Played all games. The mobile games, ds games, board games, main games, psp games, all the comics, novels, movie, animations, etc. Have the logo tattooed on my ring finger. I love this franchise and still play all the games.
It embodies all that I love in history, mythology, religion, science, art, music, cinema, gaming and so much more.
Everyone has their favorite assassin and for me Edward always resonated with me the most.
A rebel. A man who was free spirit but a bit misguided and naive. But at his core and heart or hearts was a fighter for not just his freedom of will but others and his lifestyle and lifestyle was evident of that. A man who made questionable morale choices given his circumstances and did the best to come out on the other side of them as intact as he and those he valued and cherished with him. This was in essence for me my spirit animal in a way. This game to me holds a special place in my heart

I hated him so much at the start, he was the definition of a stereotypical pirate. But I'm so glad he saw the damage he'd done to people around him for his greed, and changed himself.

this is my second comment. Edward wanted a decent life among the common. An existence beyond the normal pirate or privateer. He made mistakes and adapted like any human would.
