  • How to Make a Custom Coiled Cable, No Soldering, No Extra Tools, Just a Hair Dryer, A Wooden Stick, and a Cable. It can be done in just a few minutes!
    There are a few really good in-depth tutorials out there, but they require a variety of tools that not everyone has and might be a bit intimidating for the average viewer. So I came up with this very easy and simplified coiling tutorial for you :D

      I simplified the process so anyone can do it 😉. If you want custom sleeving, aviator connectors, etc. It takes more time, requires more tools and costs way more. 😂

    Great tutorial! I made a coiled cable from my keyboard’s stock cable and it turned out great! The only tricky part was the end where you reverse the cable. Thanks so much!

    Could you try using different springs for linear switches in your keyboard videos. For example making a lightest switch with 20g springs.

    is having a *braided* cable important for the process?? Does this work just as well with unbraided cables or is it only possible with braided cables? I really want to try this but don't want to damage the nice cable that I got with my keyboard

      It works with any cable, but a braided cable will look nicer

    Is it true that all custom coiled cables has a maximum of 3m in length because any longer than 3m will result to unable to power your keyboard and also have a chance of having a delays when typing?

    What's the cable thickness? 5mm is too thick for 550 paracord, should I get 4.3 or 3.6mm? 1st one is shielded.

    When reversing the cable do I have to tape it and wait again or just reverse it and just wait for a few seconds then remove it from the stick??

      When reversing, you don't need to wait. You can tape it if you want so it's secure, I didn't do it because I just held one end with my hand and started reversing the coil.
