As a kid in the 70s you never thought about stuff like that also I didn't question what my gender was unlike youngsters today. Can you imagine going into school and saying your a non binary hairless cat you would of been caned sent home and smacked by your dad for being bloody stupid 🤣

Not particularly "revealing". It is fairly well documented that Eric often stressed about his performances, had heart troubles and three heart attacks, the third sadly killed him.

If Eric had done what he originally wanted to do , after his first two heart attacks, which was retire to his home, rest and write books, he might have lived a little longer. But he felt a duty to return and assist his longtime 'short fat hairy friend' . Either way his eternal foul log of a pipe was stuck in his gob.....

@@degsbabe It says he smoked 60 a day here. Not helpful for a bad heart. Did he give them up after the attacks, or just keep smoking? Tommy Cooper was the same I think.

I thought they were brilliant I watched them as a child, then as a teenager followed by a young adult. It was good clean fun the shows done by Ernie was the finale. It always had a big star totality out of their comfort zone. All the jokes about Des O’Conner were endless. I vividly remember Glenda Jackson, Andra Previn who stood out as big stars prepared to be upstaged by the two of them. All those jokes from them while in bed together. No one thought anything about it lol

It is VERY common for comedians to die of heart attacks. Henry Cooper died on stage and Ronnie Barkers cell mate in porridge died at a very young age, Richard Beckinsale, who's daughter Kate is the spitting image of him.
