You can feed a family for $10, even high quality dried pasta is only like $3 a lb and high end sauce is like $7-10 a Jar. If you want to add beef or anything though it will be around $20. I completely agree with your philosophy on reviewing places. Especially when it comes to service, you never know if someone is having a bad day. Servers are people too, all complaining does is make someone lose a job they need. There's a Vietnamese place I went to once that had the most mid pho I'd ever tasted and I couldn't bring myself to review it poorly seeing the sweet old lady running the place. People are so harsh in reviews at times, it's like they forget they could just as easy be in their position too.
I dont think its that bad if he finish it quick. The 2nd tray indicates that also that the restaurant isnt bad but that they could do better like he said. They were trying but not enough. I bet that red pasta is just canned sauce & cheap pasta cooked to make a quick profit. Some restaurants either have low expectation or their workers are just lazy or they're deeply in debt & trying to make some business regardless of cutting corners. For a Korean restaurant though that charge that much that is a total rip-off & highly unethical. They shouldnt be in business cooking suspect foods like that & over charging customers.
Honestly, a traditional bolognese is hard to pull off. It’s one of those dishes that’s so simple, yet difficult to serve to impress. It’s possible to sell a bolognese for 20$ but it has to be perfect.
You should leave the rating for the best meal (4 in this case) but also point out in the description that the other dish wasnt good this time, but maybe it was an off shot on that dish. This way they get a 4 star review, but people reading your review will know not to order the tomato based dish, and the restaurant will also know which one to improve on, without getting a bad score.
That’s so backwards. If they are robbing people with bad quality and high prices, the reviews should match. No reason why you should trick people into spending money on something that isn’t good. Weird ass take.
