How to Upgrade Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 11 for Free

- If you have a computer running Windows 8/8.1, it is possible to upgrade to Windows 11 without losing your files, but the process will require extra steps.
Microsft Windows 11 Installation Assistant only support Upgrade a Windows 10 PC to Windows 11. but if you are already running a licensed and activated copy of Windows 8/8.1 and your device meet minimum system requirements for installing Windows 11. you can install windows 11 by following the steps.
Step 1. Upgrade Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10 Using Windows 10 Media Creation Tool :
Microsoft still provides a free Windows 10 upgrade to anyone trying to upgrade using a media creation tool with a genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1 license.

Step 2. Upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 using the Windows 11 Upgrade tool
Please note around 10 GB of data is required to complete both up-gradation. AND this process will take several hours to download Windows and install it

There is no direct way for Windows 8/8.1 computers to upgrade to Windows 11: First, you have to upgrade your computer to Windows 10. but if you upgrade to windows 10, you will see the Windows 11 offer from Microsoft in the installation process. You can just click upgrade now ;)

seemed to be going fine and left while it was working away on windows 10 home update per video and came back and said installation failed.....where do I find the error code?
I did upgrade my pc from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 11 directly without upgrading to Windows 10 Pro. Most people said that a direct upgrade is not possible. But it is possible if you meet the requirements and have the original windows license. And the whole process was smooth without any hiccups.

When I tried to update it's shown it's installing windows10 and 75% completed.. and all of sudden it shown installation failed ? Can any one tell me why?

Is there a way to upgrade from 10 to 11 if you dont have a tpm 2.0 but you meet all other system requirements
A simple script allows you to upgrade to Windows 11, even if you don't have TPM. Please google how to bypass TPM on Windows 11

if we had a way to jump direct from 8.1 to 11 should be perfect, we would avoid all the garbage and trash that 10 create, also not only the useless waste of space would be avoided but would be awesome to avoid anything from the worst system base from last 10 years...
many here not know but windows 10 is like vista and millenium, the base code is absurdly bad done, that is why windows 8.1 was lighter and was able to do the the same work with 90% more performance, even games runs with more than 30fps than windows 10, things that run with 70 fps in windows 10 (build "only" to w10), still worked in 8.1 and was able to reach 90 to 100 fps. well, 8.1 was 1/2 of windows 7 weight, sure this system will be missed.
