I very much doubt this was a legal gathering to protest. A permitted protest doesn’t block the highway leading to an airport. This is an illegal gathering that is as problematic as the Jan 6 riots. Peaceful permitted gatherings to protest are freedom of speech. Yelling fire in a crowded theater is NOT.

Someone actually expected Chicago officials to have anticipated what would happen.
