- Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department has three Enforcer 107’ tandem axle Ascendant ladder rigs that are being added to their fleet. The compartment space allows for future expansion along the life span of the apparatus. To ensure the ability of arriving to the scene quickly, the rig has a short wheelbase to maneuver the terrain of Prince Georges County, MD.
It is important to the department to have easily accessible ground ladders, via the ladder compartment at the rear and the nested ladder storage compartment on the passenger side of the body.

The one thing I've learned about videos like this is that no matter what type of apparatus it is every single inch of available space is thoroughly used. Nothing goes to waste.
Chief Ricky! Back in PG
Absolutely beautiful truck.
Beautiful ladder!
Well, if I had my own Firehouse, Pierce mfc would be the place to go for my trucks
Same here
For sure.
Very nice rigs. Pierce is awesome.
Why alter the jack length and lose tip load? Just short jack it and work within those parameters if need be but leave the option open for max tip load if you have jack space
Sweet truck
Nice truck. Only thing I would change is all doors would be roll ups
Paul Matakovich There is a very similar truck like this with roll ups, it belongs to Cheshire Fire Department. Check it out if you need a visual for that
No roll up doors. Old school firefighter
One thing to look at is if doors opens jacks can be set.
Always spec top equipped units!!!!
Pgfd is boss when it comes to fire trucks
Montgomery County look at all them tower ladders
Cool!
Thought these only had one set of rigs
One thing I don't understand is what makes the Ascendant any different from how aerials were built all along
Steven Pivornik The ascendant our department bought (not the dept in the video) was one of the only ladders that was made over 100’ that could be made with a single rear axle and a 500 gallon water tank.
@@SparkysGarage he doesn't know
why buy these rear mounts if your just gonna replace them with TDA'S you think the guys at 826 are glad they are losing the nice rear mount they have
for a tda my god
They move their trucks around to different stations they did the same with their tower .
