    Thanks for the clear instructions. Took only 10 min to do the job... much faster than routing the internal cable back through the frame...

    Thanks for the instructions. The Ultegra Manuel is difficult to understand. one thing, does the brake cable also have a cap over it like the shifter cable?

  • @RobertBrownATX
    @RobertBrownATX 2 роки тому

    I am needing to replace my housing cables as well as the shifting cables. How critical is it that cap that the housing slides into have the little rib in it? Mine is broke and I bought Jagwire cables and housings. The polished steel seems to last longer so I have stayed with Jagwire. I have had no need to use their housing until now. Their set has a cap to slide over the end of the housing cable but it doesn’t have the little rib or spine that the original had. Do you think it will cause problems using an end cap without the rib?

    I was changing gears and I heard a pop and the rear derailleur went to the smallest cog. I looked and I see the gear cabled know slipped and is now in the middle of my gear changer. How do I get that anchored again?

    Does the front derailleur cable goes all the way inside the lever or the stopper prevents it from going in like the rear?

    Hi guys. Does anyone know how to remove the inner cable point if it's stuck? I can't get the end point out to put in the new one. Thank you!

    I have the ultegra 6800 crank set and derailleur I hit a pot hole at low speeds which made me fall on the right side of the bike. I didn't check to see if there was any damage before riding again. The chain was off the front chain ring. When I started to spin the cranks the chain got caught between the big and little front chain rings and bent the rear derailleur. I replaced the rear derailleur with the ultegra r8000 I don't see any damage with the front set up but I am having a hard time getting the front derailleur to work correctly. Are there some kind of sprocket pegs on the side of the small chain ring that help the chain to latch on to the smaller chain ring. The chain will to not go on to the small chain ring easily and I have to be very careful on how hard I spin while changing gears. I did readjust the front are well

      If you replaced the rear derailleur did you also do a rear hanger and alignment? You said the chain got stuck between the front chainrings when that happened you could have damaged one of the links on the chain so its worth just checking that. Normally if the front dreailleur is not changing down smoothly its an adjustment problem or the derailleur has moved postion slightly when the chain came off. Start by fitting a new cable to the front derailleur to rule out the cable as its the cheapest item.
