I found the copper anchor was working as well in flat calm conditions but in choppy condition not do well . Also I am using the shark anchor witch clips together using three pins, then screwing into the sand. It doses work well but takes time screwing it into the Sand
I use a pet anchor that I purchased from pet smart for $7. It looks kind of like a giant metal cork screw. Serves it's purpose though. Be careful where you store this one. It can damage the paint in your storage compartment in choppy waters.
I've found the Coopers is spot on if you attached a length of rope to it then a couple of metres of chain then your main rope.
