I only stumbled onto Dan's stuff recently but he's had a massive effect on me already. Every video is absolutely crammed with mindset shifts and actionable steps to take, laying out a path to follow.
I didn't know much of his backstory so thanks for filling me in 👍
Same! He’s made me massively through his videos how to create a social media ecosystem.
Dan Koe is one of my heroes man. You're so lucky that he recognized your video! Congratulations! I don't know him personally but I feel like I know the guy. Like I hear his voice when I do meal prepping and eat. He's like part of my family here. I really love his insights and most of what he's saying is unconventional but eye opening that sometimes makes me emotional lol. Great job Francis!
Same here, huge inspiration, and someone that finally "clicks it" for me in the hollistic way
Bought dans book “Art of Focus”. Never found myself circling so many meaningful notes in one book. Incredibly intelligent guy 🙏🏾
He has something special in him, doesn't he?
Can you write a few insights of yours? I am curious
Hi Francis, I watched the video all the way to the end. Your narrative style was thought provoking, and your ability to synthesise the themes of Dan Koe's life made me realise that you are an excellent biographer. This is the first video biography I've watched that was truly AAA grade. All the best to you in your journey.
Thank you so much, Adrian! I've put a lot of work into those videos, and I want to get even better at biographies
Extremely creative way of presentation. I think this concept of story-telling can sky-rocket you to millions of followers :)
Seems like there's a demand for that sort of things, and I am so inspired to make another one!
Love Dan Koe. I often watch his videos in bite sizes because they are so packed with information but I have to give you your flowers, this is such a great video!
I was hooked because of how beautifully you told this story and it shows that you put a lot of work into this video. The props, effects, editing... So beautifully done! More power to you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Excellent presentation ~ Dan Koe is truly authentic, he’s got my attention
Yeah Dan Koe is special. and a true inspiration for me. Thank you for commenting. It means a lot to me!
Great backstory of Dan - thank you for spending all those 100s of hours making this video! 🙌
Francis what an amazing video, you really have a talent for telling stories. This video has been more valueable to me than many of the new Dan Koe videos
After months of research and digesting his content, my original idea was to cover the entire system and entire philosophy of Dan, but it ended up with the entire story.
I made another documentary about him, you can find it on my channel
Thank you Marcus, for commenting
Came to watch the first steps of Dan.. now leaving as your subscriber. I see your effort for this nice video
Wtf is this your first channel? High quality video!! Awesome story telling!! Keep it up brother
yep, my first channel but I feel like I was preparing to this role all my life
@Francis - Fantastic deep dive into Dan Koe's journey! Your video was eye-opening, offering a new perspective on his evolution and impact. The way you connected the dots in his career was fascinating. Thanks for this informative piece - looking forward to more!
After months of consuming his content, this felt like the only thing to do
I’ve been watching and listening to his podcast for little over 6-7 months. Love his content. ❤. Thank you for this video. Very inspiring
It's great to zoom out and see the bigger perspective on Dan's life and his philosophy
This is all from Dan's blog and we have no idea if any of it is even true. How do we know he even freelanced and didn't just pull a Napoleon HIll on us all by pretending to be enlightened and successful? 🤨Anyone ever think about that? 🤔 I appreciate that you said "I Guess" in the title that shows me you understand the content you are making and I truly appreciate that! It was a good video too!
We can't be 100% sure. But even though his advice makes a lot of sense. As I have read a lot, and listened to a lot, I find powerful wisdom in his videos.
I started following the advice step by step and I finally broke from my poverty mindset and started to make some money, which was impossible in my head before.
Loads of people seem to do the same.
So even if he's a Napoleon Hill in a sense, I'd still be grateful. A true inspiration for me
This was a great video brother! Realy enjoyed your storytelling on this one. The watercolor art to show important emotional moments was incredible. Great work!
Hell yeah, this is a great documentary. Can't wait to see what you do next
I only discovered Dan Koe about two months ago. I genuinely didn't know about him but your video nails the two stand out concepts:
- You are the niche. As someone who has a lot of passions but no clear direction and aged 40 I worry that it is all over now... But I know that if I give myself time and do something with it I can do something that I want to do and love doing it - ala Dan.
- Being authentic in a time of AI. I can't tell you how important this is.
Great video, I subscribed 2 minutes in. I love how you do the watercolours and drawings to tell the story. Chapeau Francis.
Thank you so much for the perfect compliment.
I believe it's not to late for anyone, if you are conscious enough. Life is still abundant enough to make a space for all of us.
And I am the same, having multiple interests was hard for me to find my niche, this is why Dan's advice spoke so deep to me.
“Don’t quit forever!” 💕
Dan helped inspire me to restart my lonely, neglected UA-cam channel and show people how I’m solving my own problems.
Love the illustrations w the water color being added.
Great! It was my idea from the beginning of the channel but just now I decided to go with it. I will definitely keep doing watercolors. Thanks man!
Great content, man. The one unique perspective Dan can’t speak from is outside himself, as much as he tries. The special thing about brand is, the brand is not yours, even if it’s you.
The brand belongs to the people who interact and engage your content. It’s their gut feeling and perception of you.
And because of this, you produced a piece of content about Dan he couldn’t do himself but now upon reflection, and looking at yours, he can appreciate an outside perspective of himself to recreate a new narrative arc or utilise things he didn’t see in himself.
So good.
Thought-provoking. I have never thought about it but it is so true. Every perspective is like a look into a different universe.
Thank you for pointing that out
This is incredible because
It shows me that Dan is just like us but he pushed through and succeeded!
I had the same feeling discovering this story, a real zero to hero journey
absolutely fantastic video. engaging. beautiful commentary. calm. great watch
I love your sense of humor - so good at this moment of my own journey. Amazing work on the video, at many levels
I like Dans videos, but god he is so serious. Ive never seen him smile, or make a joke, ever.
Really impressive video, the art wall, the painting, and the overall video was extremely well done. I cannot wait to see what videos you put out in the future if you do this so early on 🤝🏻
Comments like this one means a world to me. Thank you, I want to get even better
Great video, very clear presentation style & insightful about Dan’s growth. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome Video man! Looking forward to future videos of yours :)
Thanks. This video blowing up from 50 to 7k views, and 30 to 300 subs is making me want to go with the double effort with the next one.
Amazing feeling
You are such a warm and inspiring person! I love your energy. Subscribed and hit all notifications for your future content 😊
Man i like that storytelling format🙌🏻Keep going 🎥
I like it too, and I will keep this format of documentaries. People seem to love it. Thank you for commenting, man!
Great Job ! The true inspiration really comes when you listen to other people stories
Epic Titles and Thumbnail.... Gonna Watch it now!
@@francisbaranski was cool, well made, Just not a 100% my thing. But cool!
This was fun to watch and nicely packages up Dan. Thanks for sharing your art, perspective, and work.
I'm an INFJ....we INFJ's love Dan Koe. Would love to read and follow along what you're saying through a transcript. Love the accent! 😊
Yeah, INFJs are special! I'm the ENTP, and I have always get along with INFJs. Thank you for the accent compliment, I am a bit shy about that
Wow, this video really sheds light on Dan Koe's journey! It's truly inspiring to see that success isn't an overnight phenomenon; it takes time, dedication, and a lot of perseverance. If you persist through the challenges and keep pushing forward, you'll eventually carve your path and develop a genuine passion for what you're pursuing.
By the way thanks for creating this one. Liked and subscribed!
Amazing work, love your style of storytelling and what a great way to lay the groundwork for building in public! I never subscribed to a channel so fast as yours... I look forward to following your journey!
Haha, that's amazing to hear, thank you for your sub, I will do even better!
Instant subscribe. Watched at regular speed. Excellent video! I really like your style, your humor, and the impressive effort you must have put into this video. I'm also a big fan of Dan's method and messages, and now I'm a fan of you too!
Regular speed = biggest compliment.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Yep, over 100 hours put into this video, but it performs great.
Welcome aboard and thank you for the Twitter post!
This is such a beautiful video! It’s totally interesting and fun to watch.
I am so happy, because this was the goal. Thank you for sharing your feelings
I enjoyed your storytelling as you unpacked Dan's ideas. I think storytelling makes great content more enjoyable to take in, and also makes it more memorable. Keep up the good work. I subscribed to your channel.
I love storytelling and I totally agree, it is making the video more unique. Thank you for commenting, man!
Amazing! I've seen Dan Koes videos but your insight gives me much deeper perspective. Thank you! 🔥🔥🔥
Love the Artistic bits! Keep it up!
Wowser, I can see your subscriber count climbing just as I refresh the screen!
I screenshotted this comment, as it is remarkable for me too! Thanks for commenting
For me, the odd thing I find about Dan Koe's message is that it still makes me want to make a career change to an Electrician, a 9-5, at age 35. But now I want to grab my career by the horns and make it go the way I want. I know it will be hard, but I feel like I have a mindset that wants more meaningful things out of life.
Yes, there's the other way to go. Mindset is key, so you will be good. Share your story doing it bro, people will come!
1:05 he actually mentioons that he sees patterns on people and. has expressed that he's and INFJ on one of his podcast
Very very lovely, Francis, thank you!! You've got an incredible skill set there. With humility, I can suggest choosing your way with reasonable care, and I'm sure you can continue doing exceptionally well!
Any advice on reasonable care choices? And yeah, it seems like all my life I was preparing to this role of youtube videographer
@@francisbaranski Hi, Francis, thanks so much for your reply!
A main suggestion for taking care with our choices might be not to focus on money too much in our journey, but to keep a higher vision.
I look forward to seeing more of your vids!
Whoever the guy is, whatever may be his background and aim, I can simply say that personally his contents are quite interesting and useful.
@@francisbaranski I’ll give credit for that to the both of you, looking forward to see the full potential of your contents :)
You did such a great job with this video. One day, when I'm famous, I want to hire you to make a video about me 🙂
I like Dan too...maybe not quite as much. Enjoyed the video and appreciate the 100 hours!
Awesome video! Really incredible work the way you put it together. I wonder if Dan is actually INFJ or a creative INTJ. He comes off as very INTJ in my opinion.
He said in a few of his videos, that he's an INFJ. That matches his vibe pretty well. The sage type. INTJ is like a bomb-building genius in my mind :D
@@francisbaranski Gotcha. He resonates with me pretty well as an INTJ so my bias might be emergent there lol. But I guess I see a high level of strategic thinking, systems development and what looks like a very active Extraverted thinking function that makes it appear as though he could be. Those types are very close though. Russell Brand looks like more of what I would expect from a male INFJ.
I don't know if any of his stuff works, but his video's are very interesting.
I also love his shorts, where he makes great animations.
This video is also nice 💪 I hope you become as good as him in producing content, and making money on it.
@@francisbaranski I assumed you already made a million in 377 days with this system 🤨
12:00 hahahahahaha Dan is definitely a Ravenclaw !!!!!!
:D Ravenclaw House prized learning, wisdom, wit, and intellect = all set in Dan Koe's Hogwarts journey
00:27 🚀 Dan Koe's journey began with an intention to avoid the 9-to-5 grind and explore diverse interests, leading him through various ventures.
02:59 🌱 "The Power of Now" profoundly impacted Dan, shaping his mindset, emphasizing responsibility, freedom, and opening doors to spirituality.
05:12 💡 Despite multiple failures, Dan's pivot towards coding sparked a realization - he could teach himself anything, diving into a year's worth of curriculum in three weeks.
08:28 💻 Balancing a 9-to-5 job with freelance work provided financial stability, fueling his determination to launch a product that aligned with his expertise.
10:09 🐦 Dan's entry into Twitter marked a shift in focus towards teaching others steps behind him, leveraging his experiences to build authority and earn from mentoring.
11:49 🔄 Viewing success as a lifelong journey, Dan embraced continual improvement and persistence, a mindset that superseded short-term goals.
13:09 🌟 Dan's authenticity, embracing his multifaceted interests, became his niche, emphasizing the importance of being genuine in a world craving authentic experiences.
14:44 📚 Evolving into a modern philosopher, Dan's holistic approach integrates creativity, self-development, and philosophy, culminating in his upcoming book, "Art of Focus."
Not even Dan buts this much effort into his videos 😂
True, he leans only on his knowledge and wisdom. I gotta use something else :D
@francisbaranski : If you could have an Ancient Greek philosopher as a spirit animal, yours, sir, would be Diogenes of Sinope. Subscribed. 👏
Wow, I haven't heard about that guy, but now I watched some videos and this is so spot on!
What made you came up with this thought? I am super-curious.
@@francisbaranski In the time of the Ancient Greek Philosophers, everyone was just trying to outdo the next guy-each trying to show himself as the most wise. Diogenes took all this to a great extreme and frequently embarrassed great philosophers, including Plato. And Diogenes usually accomplished this with a very public mocking.
First time seeing him when he was at couple tens of thousands subs, I was like there ain't no way this guy gonna make it on this overcrowded space, he's too basic, simple and boring. But then he made it and I was blown away how he consistently gained 100k and currently at 300k. I think his winning formula is pretty simple including trust, authenticity and timing. I don't particularly enjoy his content cause it seems basic and repetitive but I appreciate him as a person believing in what he says and stays true to his principles. I don't watch his stuff but I love sticking around messing in his comment sections on how he should start a cult because he looks like modern Osho😂. And next is timing, this just makes things spiritual af, his timing is perfect, he happened to jump on the game at the right time when people needed it most, if it's too soon no one will ever bother, if its too late people already got their minds on something else.
And he's actually not INFJ, he's a solid ISTJ, Enneagram 5 wing 6, like Mark Manson, Nathaniel Drew, Robert Greene and Jordan Peterson. I'm pretty sure the second I first saw him cause I can easily spot fellow ISTJs among other types.
Dan's style really spoke to me, he has this ability to systemize complex idea and I seem to need that a lot.
Dan said himself that he's an INFJ, but he could mistyped himself. The test is not perfect.
I am an ENTP and I'd say that Mark Manson is ENTP 100% too. Sarcastic, smart, telling the truth in your face, genius :D
Thanks for stopping by.
Ok, I got to end of the video… but I still have no idea who Dan Koe is or what he does other than start a lot of things? I guess I could Google where he ended up, what he did and why he is “famous”… but auto play is on and the next video is starting. Your journal/painting pics were cool tho… I guess that’s why the algorithm brought me here as that’s usually the stuff I’m actually interested in.
This is crazy funny :D As the video is targeted to the Dan Koe's fans, I thought the explanation is not needed at all.
But that's great to see someone from outside the fanbase!
I'd say he's a modern philosopher talking about creativity, focus and business in 2023 and beyond. His vision is systematic, structured and he presents it in extremely concise and clear way.
Awesome creator to follow and learn from.
Just subscribed :)
well made video
Wuah, great video, how you know that Dan are INFJ? I think he is an INTJ. Good information. 💚
Dan said it in one of the episodes. He was shocked to discover that a lot of his followers had the same type as him which is INFJ. He also advise that you should sell to yourself, so you should target the offer to your MBTI type.
What's yours? I am an ENTP.
Interesting, so another proof of his theory of attracting the same types. I am glad you enjoyed my vids!
This video make me subscribe you. First, I had subscribed Dan Koe and second this is the first video that make Dan Koe.. biography?
great video bro, Dan is phenomenal person with a great ability of observation and pattern recognition and a lot of interests I think he may have Adhd
I never thought about ADHD but Dan seems to well-structured for that :D but who knows.
@@francisbaranski yeah, i hope he makes it clear for us in the future, btw I loved your paintings, thumbnail, and the storytelling keep it up mate
The good olf Power of now!
Cool🙌but just a tip, music is annoying too much too loud😎🔊🤔
@@francisbaranski I disagree with this commenter: leave the music as is. It heightened the comedy. But then again, the comedy itself seems to be lost on the overwhelming majority of the commenters, so far as I can tell.
Subscribed man, absolutely incredible (and the ego boost doesn’t hurt).
Makes me want to revisit and iterate on how I tell the story myself. I’ll add it to the queue and be sure to mention this vid.
Thank you again brother. I can see these documentary style biographies doing real well🖤🤝
