Awesome job. I am on disability, so my funds are extremely limited. You are an inspiration to those of us who cannot afford to just buy everything. With it being 2022 and prices climbing my funds are even more limited. I am just now getting into gold panning. Already have an 8in gold pan, plus a set of 3 six inch classifiers all new. With a 14in pan on the way. I have been brain storming on building better classifiers. Then I remembered me and My dad built one before he passed away to sift the dust out of stoker coal. Its got quarter inch hardware cloth (we call rat wire) framed with preasure treated 2x2s and roughly 3ft by 2 and a half foot. I have in My mind a way to combine it a Garden trailer and build other classifiers to combine with it and make a mobile gold panning station.

Why I liked being a southern electrical engineer. We have to change the way the Northern engineer designs stuff. Cool classifier man!

One of the most satisfying things is to make homemade gold prospecting equipment and find out how it works!

It is pretty great, next up is a cleanup sluice. Tired of panning cons with tons of black sand and very little gold! Thanks for watching!

Good job on that! Make sure you never weld on galvanized steel, it produces very toxic fumes.

I welded hollow metal door frames for 5 years 8 hours a day, they were all punched from galvanized sheets. Pro tip drink milk in the evening if you catch that metal sickness! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for posting, I’ve been looking at this for ages. I don’t yet know how to weld. When I make one I’ll be using 1/4” mesh and I’ll be rivet everything in place.
I really like the support struts at the bottom of it.
And your right it won’t be perfect first time round but the worst thing you could do is to not try.

Trial and error. I know what you mean, I have had alot of projects that needed some kind of adjustment along the way. We learn as we go.

Same here, I collect stuff i think i could repurpose or fix up. I've got a few projects that have been sitting around due to a lack of supplies. I wanna make some mats like yours. Those seem awesome and real stretchy like. Nifty thing. I've tried but failed once, might have been the silicone i used. I did something wrong. I'll have to go back to your mat making videos once i get what i need and all that nifty stuff.
