We like to celebrate our birthday at restaurants because most of them give free dessert to us 😂😂

As a Brazilian who moved from Vila Velha to the US at 15yrs old and lived there for 25yrs (20 in Boston, 3 in Florida and 2 in California) I can`t express how much I missed Greater Vitoria. It is such a chill and relaxed place where one can raise a family, it`s also a place with great balance between work, fun and relaxing. It has it`s problems (what city does not have challenges today?), but it is a city where can actually live a full happy life! Torta de Frango would be my last dish on this earth if I have a saying on it!! 😅

After visiting I agree with you. When we visited my family’s hometown in the Philippines, Alex said it reminded him of Brazil so I expected it to be similar. But I was surprised to see that Vitoria was very well developed especially where his family lived. It makes sense that his family decided to settle there!!
Alex was surprised I liked torta de frango so much cause it’s not anything fancy, but I guess I’m a simple gal 😅 I am craving some right now actually

@@jeannellebalilo Sorry that you didn't even make it to Guarapari (gorgeous little town with 54 beautiful beaches, the city goes from 120k people on the off season to over 1 million in the summer). Pedra Azul park in the Highlands of Espírito Santo with amazing foods from the German and Italian settlers. Hidrolândia Park or Pico da Bandeira Park with their beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear ponds. But there's always next time. You are welcome back at anytime, safe travels!

Interesting fact about Vitoria, actually it’s the least populated capital of Brazil, and one of the 3 capital islands (with São Luís in the state of Maranhão in the northeast region and Florianópolis in Santa Catarina state in the south Brazil. I notice you guys don’t get the beach in Vitoria, I never been in the Espírito Santo state, looks amazing, kinda small version of Rio (sorry capixabas kkkkk) and also in your entire trip u just stay in southeast region (ES, SP, RJ, MG) just to glimpse you the idea how big Brazil are.

You’re absolutely right, Brazil is so huge! We aren’t super into going to the beach which is why we didn’t go but we definitely should have, considering how hot it was 🔥

Thank you for following and commenting ♥️ Sorry I can't reply in Portuguese as I don't have my boyfriend to help me right now, but I'm happy that I could share a positive side of Vitória. It's a relatively small city compared to other places I've been and it seems like a decent place to settle down. But clearly my boyfriend wanted to settle elsewhere haha

Omgg yes I listened to Chico Buarque on the plane ride!! I love his music. Epidemic Sound has a ton of mpb that I was able to use, they even have some carioca funk which surprised me 😂
And yes Alex and I were between saying torta fria and torta de frango (or torta fria de frango) but we decided on torta de frango!
