    SETTING UP MY 37 GALLON SALTWATER AQUARIUM!!! * FINALLY *
    Finally setting up the 37 gallon saltwater aquarium! It’s been quite the journey but we’re here! So far we have some clownfish; damsels; starfish; hermit crabs and a shrimp in here. We’re definitely not done building this tank up! As you know, there’s no need to rush things, just enjoy the process! That’s what I did with building the stand and upgrading the 20 gallon to the 37 gallon! This has been such a fun project! Stay tuned for what’s next to come! Make sure you’re subscribed to the channel; have your post notification bell on! And please like the video if you enjoyed it!

    Wow. I love what you did with this 37G Tall. I have one sitting there not being used. I need to finish aquascaping the 55G room-divider Freshwater Aquarium before I start the Saltwater. I miss my Clown Fish. It has been since 2005 when I had to give them away. The injuries back then precluded me from caring for my tanks.
    Best Wishes. Thanks for a great job with this transfer. Now, I see how easy it was.

    Another great looking tank. Awesome job. You and a few others on YT are lighting a fire for aquariums in me. Just setup my first small community tank. I preparing to buy a 55 gallon kit to do a planted tank. Any recommendations for beginner level stocking choices? I have a small school of Neon tetras and a couple of Kuhli Loaches in my community tank already.

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you bro! Definitely appreciate your feedback and support! I’m glad I’m able to be an inspiration. As for stocking on a 55 gallon planted tank. I would go with angelfish. They can mix with your neon tetras and loaches with no problem and they will not bother your plants. I’ve seen some gorgeous angelfish so take your time when you’re searching. I would look online first, to see the different variations then use that as my reference while I search the fish stores. 💪🏾💪🏾 Good luck brother, let me know how it goes!

    What do you do if you have high salt levels ?

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  Рік тому

      If your salinity is too high, then add fresh RODI to the tank to dilute the salt.
      But first, what do you consider to be high. It’s pretty hard to get your salt levels high in your aquarium unless you’re making saltwater that has too much salt in it and adding that to your aquarium.
      The salinity can increase when your water evaporates but it’s such an insignificant amount and it happens gradually so the fish may or may not react to it. Giving you enough time to correct it. The way it’s corrected is buy topping off the water evaporation with RODI water.

    When u rinse the sand do u rinse it with regular sink water, and do you have to rinse live and non live sand before adding to aquarium

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  2 роки тому +1

      For dry sand I use regular tap water to rinse it. But live sand, you don’t rinse otherwise you kill all the beneficial bacteria that comes on the sand. It usually will mean you have a cloudy tank longer but they supply you with a little water clarifier packet that you pour in the tank after it’s all set up. So between that packet and letting the filter do it’s job, you just wait until the water clears before adding fish.

  • @hvalentino9573

    Thank you for this! I have a question, when you added more water from the those jugs, are those salt water with the same salinity or just ROdi water? I’m thinking to combine my 2 small tanks and just do 1 big tank. And I think I might need to add more water even after combining both. Thanks!

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  3 роки тому

      I’ve been buying my saltwater and RODI water for quite some time. I just recently bought a RODI filter system. But previously I just bought all the water I need and since I keep the salinity level in my tanks at 1.025, the stores sell it at that salinity level. So there’s no adjustments needed, just top off due to evaporation.

    • @TheFishCorner

      It’s all good, ask away.
      For a 40 gallon, if you want corals, I would recommend using a protein skimmer. But you don’t *need* it for a fish and invertebrate only tank.
