Who are you? Why have you been reading my mind? This is the video I have been waiting for. It did take a little while to get there, but bro…you nailed it! THIS IS A MUST VIEW FOR ANY POTENTIAL PELAGOS 39 OWNERS! Well done sir.
Great when people make videos of actual experiences. The LHD had warmth in the color adding to the stealth. I do wish they made one with the P39 proportions.
Never heard of this guy before. Don’t know who he is. Was just trying to learn about this particular Tudor.. Dudes content and info was so good I just subscribed.. I do that like 3 times a year 👏🏼 🎉🎉🎉LOVE IT🎉🎉🎉
I’m glad I tried the black FXD on because I have never looked back. It’s larger than the 39 but the fixed bar straps are incredible. As a kid, I had one of those plastic Timex watches with a similar design and like the no-nonsense approach. For this watch, they should show a guy eating a steak, no funny lighting.
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I've been a Tag Heuer watch customer for over 30 years I wear my watches all the time but have decided it's time for a change & I'm fairly sure you've convinced me to by one. Cheers mate keep up the great work
Thanks for the support. 🙏🏻 Tag is a great brand, and I hear they do titanium well. Also the Omega Seamaster No Time to Die is another great titanium option. Good luck on the next piece. Whatever it ends up being, enjoy it in good health.
I actually love re-using the endlink, I really love looking at those solid end links. But won't argue about the rubber quality... I honestly don't know.
Great review. On the waiting list bs for this piece. Love the look of it but have yet to try it on so not sure how I will feel about the titanium weight. Can’t get a Rolex sub ( I won’t buy from flippers), tried on the Omega 300 but the wart like helium release valve turns me off. I can’t live with the black bay bracelet faux rivets so, I’m hoping when I eventually do get to try this p39 on, I will fall in love with it. Again, great review, thanks.
I have a 41mm sub date and Pelagos 39. For my 6.5 inch wrist, I much prefer wearing the Pelagos...so comfortable. I still wear the sub bc I use the date a lot but if the P39 ever came in blue with a date, it would be the perfect everyday watch.
Completely agree on the use case for the 39, I have a Helson Shark Diver 38 titanium and it is THE watch that gets to do all the fun things. I'd prefer Helson made a Ti 40 as I have a Shark Diver 40 in SS and prefer the size but love the gray tools goodness of titanium. Also I don't give 2 Sh*ts about marketing.
I have multiple Watches, also some Tudors, that said, my 39 Pelagos 2023 is the best daily watch I have ever owned. Its cheap enaught to dont give a fuck, but its very well made, the movement is superb ( mine is spot on +/- 1s while daily used ), the bracelet is very well ajustable. And with the Titanium I also keep it on while ini the Sauna. One BIG problem, ist the lume. Its hard to see the hands. And you need to see the movement fdor youself, its very good looking. Love the sunburst finish
My seiko runs about 20 seconds slow daily I do the same thing as you, set it 2min ahead gives me 1-2 weeks of ease of mind, never thought on a Tudor though
The planet ocean is a little big for me but I would be shocked if the Pelagos 39 stays in my collection longer than my Seamaster. Omega does such a great job on their case designs.
Enjoyed the video, and agree with your observations and a few of the short comings of the watch. But wanted to acknowledge a HUGE Kudos for the "correct" pronunciation of PELAGOS!! 👏 Most everyone pronounces it to sound like "pelican" 🐦 lol🤡
I hear you on the loosing seconds a day... My Longines Ultra Chron looses 1 second a day. Its annoying... Would rather have pluss 3-5 seconds to be honest.
I couldn't agree more with your comment about tudor's message in advertising, when I first saw it I was very disappointed and it left me with an uncomfortable feeling.
First time watching you. Good review. I've had mine for about 6 weeks and love it. I must disagree with you about the rubber strap. I kinda like the look of the end links and the quality of the rubber seems right up there with my Omega Seamaster OEM rubber. I'll be watching more of your reviews.
That’s interesting. I wear a Seamaster on the OEM rubber all the time and I feel like there’s a big difference between how sticky the Pelagos rubber is. I love the Omega design of the rubber keepers. Might be more subjective than I first thought 🤔
Oddly enough mine runs about five seconds fast per day…which I can live with because resetting is quite easy. Used the rubber strap briefly but the bracelet is so very comfortable..at least for me…it seemed somewhat pointless.
Re the 3 sec slow. Have you tried different positions. My Rolex is 2 sec slow a day but it catches this up every night if I rest it face down overnight.
Not extensively yet. I usually don’t wear the same watch two days in a row. Maybe twice a week so it’s not the end of the world. I usually set the time in the morning.
I have huge problems with the bezel on my Pelagos 39. Whenever I have contact with water on the watch, the bezel becomes difficult or impossible to turn until the water drips out or dries out. I sent it to Tudor, who replaced the ball bearing on the bezel. Despite the service, I still have the same problem. We even tested the Pelagos models 39/42 at AD under water, they all had the same problem, that can't be right?
The Pelagos 39 might not be a good value overall, but Pelagos 42 and FXD are. I never warmed up to this model, it looks like some kind of confused mix between Black Bay and Pelagos, but wants to be neither. OG 42 Black is absolute beast and I love to wear it, the FXD - unique on his own and it compliments my collection well as a fixed lugs watch. I have the same book btw. Lot of pretentious trash written in it, never understood the hype.
I'm glad I've been alerted to that ad. Believe it or not, ads do have an effect on me, I've found, but only in reverse. If it's a good ad, it's a good ad, it won't influence me to buy the product, unless I like the product. If it's a bad ad, full of forced wokeness that, for example, portrays a man's watch as one being for people who wear dresses, I'm out. I'm so glad you stopped me wanting this watch, so soon after I just bought a Ball Fireman Enterprise, that costs as much as the 3 Swiss watches I already own. Thanks. Enjoy your pansexual watch.
Buys a diving sports watch, then proceeds to complain about the lack of polishing, the diving features, free diving straps extension included and the advert. 😂
Most diving sports watches have polishing, other diving watches don’t have an exposed extension (Seamaster, Sub and most others) the strap isn’t free but included in most Pelagos purchases, and why can’t you buy an item and think their marketing is silly? Thanks for the comment tho 🙏🏻
I go to Costco every week for groceries. I figured I might as well use the time wisely. I have a large family, work, and a full life, so I have a hard time carving out time to film videos for the internet 😂
This one has too many problems. 21mm lug width, sunburst dial and bezel insert (huge no no on tool watches), red text on dial. Pass. Tudor is such a mediocre brand, at best
I laughed out loud when you said bisexual lighting man. Completely caught me off guard😂
Who are you? Why have you been reading my mind? This is the video I have been waiting for. It did take a little while to get there, but bro…you nailed it! THIS IS A MUST VIEW FOR ANY POTENTIAL PELAGOS 39 OWNERS! Well done sir.
I have the 39, and the FXD. 39 for daily driver, and the FXD for camping, snowboarding, and hiking with low light. They both run 5 seconds/day fast.
Great when people make videos of actual experiences. The LHD had warmth in the color adding to the stealth. I do wish they made one with the P39 proportions.

I sold the black FXD to buy the MN-FXD. The FXD is my favorite line but the original blue variant was the won that won my heart.

Great Watch
I understand your frustration about minus 3 sec pr day
It is a Quick fix
I didnt watch the video but ive had a 39 for about a mth...i love it!
No reviewers I’ve seen seem to notice how the sunburst treatment is to mimic the brushing of the titanium case.
Hmm, from the top down it looks like radial brushed lugs which is pretty typical of most tool watches these days.

It has been one of my most worn watches so far in 2023. Tudor definitely did a good job with this piece.
Thanks for your review. If they come out with a Blue one (FXD colour, no sunburst dial) then I'm buying it on day one!
I would probably do the same and sell this one. I love a blue dive watch.
Wow! Amazing review! You speak with your heart. Keep up the good work mate! Done subscribed.
Appreciate the support 🙏🏻

I own 5 Tudors, this is the only one that runs slow 😢
Liked it and still do but too small when I tried it on. Got an Omega Planet Ocean instead.
The planet ocean is a little big for me but I would be shocked if the Pelagos 39 stays in my collection longer than my Seamaster. Omega does such a great job on their case designs.
My Pelagos 39 runs about 2 seconds slow, which I find to be the most frustrating thing about it. I've been spoiled by METAS specifications. 😅
I would take 10 seconds fast over 2 seconds slow all day long.
@@jackblah5842 months later, this watch typically runs about 1 second fast, per day. Just needed some "break in".

Hahaha thanks man. I’ve heard it pronounced several ways and feel only two of them could be considered correct 😂
Tudor specifies -2/+4 spd so I would expect it to be regulated under warranty.
I believe COSC is -4 to +6.

I use the date function on a watch more than the time. Can’t have a watch without the date.
I am not so sure, but I am not sure if Drone work in a national park is kosher.
Great video 🤩.
What size wrist do you have?
Currently have the blue P42 but also on the waiting list for the P39.
Somewhere around 6.5” mark, less than 6.75”
👍🏼. Perfect, it looks good on you. Should be ok for my 7” wrist.
@@Denhdenno definitely
All I want to know is what the total weight it on the rubber strap? I can’t find that info anywhere.
It's great watch just my 1 doesn't have much lume on the hands.... It's quite irritating..

Same here but then again why would you want to change the settings of the bezel when it's under water?
Hey Burbinghard, may i ask what is your wrist size? Thank you
How does yours do in terms of scratching?
What’s your wrist size ? I’m 7.5 “ dont know if I can pull the 39 of . Don’t want the 42 due to thickness

What tan strap was that on the black bay 58?
Straptailor
I was pretty hyped up when it first came out, but not so much these days. Personally, I think it's overpriced.

Oh you lucky SOB had no idea you got the P39. Seeing the YM42 Ti.... yeah pelagos is better...
No date, no dice.
You’re not wrong there
I need a date.
@@Org80 Yes, I do.
