I always tell beginners that.. 1. Step 1 is not solving centers, rather it is building blocks 2. Solve 1-2 tips at the beginning, and rest of them during solve or end of solve 3. Top firsts are better :)
These are some great tips that I definitely think beginners should work on! Pyraminx used to be my main event and then I just stopped doing it for a while but I kinda want to get back into it again. I average 6-8 seconds with LBL, should I switch to top first methods instead? I only really use block building, some L4E, and LBL for solving. I was wondering if switching to something like 1-flip and oka would benefit me. Thanks :) Also I just wanted to say that I loved the structure of your "How to get fast at pyraminx" on cubing world. I think it is by far the best how to get fast. I just wanted to let you know. :)
Since I don’t have a pyraminx, I can’t use it, but when I get it, I’ll be definitely learn to love this event. I hate it so much that I got a DNF average, and at my last comp, 5/10 scrambles I got i used 2 look last layer :(
I've only started practicing pyra since after my comp in mid april. I got really nervous at my last comp so I did poorly. Also, my 3.63 avg has a counting 5.45 bc I got nervous on my last 2 solves
Well the czech NR average is sub4 and made by a guy who only uses LBL :p But I agree, every decent LBL solver should switch to L4E to watch his times drop.
This video is great for beginners
Also, for the case on 3:35, I'd usually do R U R' U' Sledge (same thing for the mirror), but your alg is better
A have an NR but I aslo didnt know about that alg

Plz bring back random pyraminx tricks!
I'm planning to do that :)
I honestly hope that everyone who hates Pyraminx watches this video and learns to love Pyraminx.

Woaj
Nice these are really useful!
So please do mistakes for top first solvers
thanks drew
Great video!
Awesome vid!👍
Why were you not the the Great Lakes cubing comp when you registered
I really appreciate this video, average less than 10 seconds with lbl, and this will help me a lot!
What is the best method for pyraminx
What method you use on pyraminx?
More videos and can you tell the story how you started cubing
Great!
0:20 I mean they aren't wrong

Drew how to get sub 5 with keyhole . How to solve the top easier?
Wow thanks i solve pyraminx at sub 7 yeah
One of the Most annoying things in cubing your doing a algorithm and then you forget the moves you do next
drew LOL i used to do that "omg tips took me 4 seconds"
I solve all of the tips last still but I'm sub 3. I should probably change that lol
The Cubinator you're averaging sub3 but your last 5 official averages were 4.48, 4.13, 3.65, 6.59, 5.88
if this is point were you could consider yourself sub 3 then i'm even beyond sub3 and i have only 4 sub 4 averages
I've only started practicing pyra since after my comp in mid april. I got really nervous at my last comp so I did poorly. Also, my 3.63 avg has a counting 5.45 bc I got nervous on my last 2 solves
Drew, any tips for sub 5 and beyond?
See the entire top in inspection and have a decent TPS
The Physicist Cuber I do v first
Cubism that's the problem :P
The Physicist Cuber doesn’t drew also use v?
Cubism i believe he doesnt
There is another:LBL can't be fast
yulun wu yeah lol, l4e is so much better
Well the czech NR average is sub4 and made by a guy who only uses LBL :p

Samuel Simko yeah you can be decent, like sub 4 global at most with lbl but you can be much faster with l4e
dycocubix The best thing is to use both ;)
Yulun Wu i have an official sub 4 average but i use only LBL sooo
I have an official 3.32 pyraminx average and I still make the mistake at 0:20 due to habitual circumstances.
minx14/pyr14 I just saw you in the WCA Competitor Tutorial. Now here? Nice average though.
10
I'm sub4 and I still make the first mistake sometimes xD
I think when you have a easy solve, you can solve the tips finally
XD
i dont make any of those mistakes but i still avg sub 10 :/
I'm sub... 17 I never practice pyra lol
you're survived!
ive seen beginners do that haha. i also told them how to improve since im sub 7-6 :p haha
ED Cuber I’m a noob. I only average DNF on pyraminx if you see my official averages :(
# ganpiraminx
I’m sub 4 and I still solve the tips at the beginning like a nub
Harsha Paladugu HOW?!?
I solve corners in the end and have sub3 and Russian record)
Wow. For me its imposible do all the tips last . And I average 4 low
fisrt like first watch first comment
Umm is it Drew Brads or you?
Why am I watching this I'm almost sub 4 lol
