I agree that most of the Filipino Students can read but interpret it literary which is quite simplistic. This affect their comprehension ability. During my highschool days our teachers would encouraged to us expound our thoughts and interpretation of what have we read.
I've been going to some Asian countries for the past five years. I tried speaking in English with ordinary people in Singapore, like bus drivers, vendors, and salespeople, and most Singaporeans can't speak English. Unlike in the Philippines, ordinary Filipino boys and girls can easily talk in English without much problem.

I agree with you.....Sen Sherwin is playing safe, him being a politician, but later in the interview, he somewhat negated himself when he stated that DepEd should not be politicised, 😮and that the best to manage it is by someone who is a professional who has knowledge in Education, DepEd being a big bureaucracy. I agree with you.....Sen Sherwin is playing safe, him being a politician, but later in the interview, he somewhat negated himself when he stated that DepEd should not be politicised, 😮and that the best to manage it is by someone who is a professional who has knowledge in Education, DepEd being a big bureaucracy. To me, it should be lead by a professional with critical thinking and analytical skills.
