HRC55 | Hate Is the First Line of Attack on Human Dignity, UN Human Rights Council Hears

"Hate is the first line of attack on human dignity," Zamir Akram told the United Nations Human Rights Council during a panel discussion on how to counter hate speech.
"Last year's Qur’an desecration incidents took place for a simple reason. There was nothing to stop it," said Mr. Akram who is the Chair of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the Right to Development.
