Here's an idea for a video. It's often been said that "there are more airplanes at the bottom of the sea than submarines in the sky". To date, there is not a single example of a real flying submarine. I challenge you to make a real flying submarine, one that is capable of operating both under the water and up in the air.
@@MichaelSHartman I was racking my brains to think of the name, thank you so much 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And why does the name ‘Kowalski” resonate through my head after 50 years on!!!
I’ve been around since the Peter Sripool and David Windestal days, Just wanted to say I absolutely love the evolution of this channel keep up the great work everybody! Happy holidays be well
It broke my heart to see the beautiful Style crash.😥 But you guys are something else. The things you do are so great to watch, keep them coming, PLEASE.
So nice to see your son in the episodes. He's just such a nice young man. And he is doing great as a builder and "episode presenter". Merry x mas to you all.
My Simple Cub value pack is in transit and should be here Monday. What a great deal price wise. Look forward to building it this winter and in the spring getting a TX and RX so I can get it in the air.
I'm thinking adding lights to this would make it absolutely perfect. And maybe shaping the bottom of the pontoons a bit for a nice, boat-like shape would be good, but then you couldn't take it off of land as easy as they did it here. But that moment when Noah handed the controller to Josh was golden, haha
Great job Noah! Normally the "stick" family of aircraft are a little boring, but your paint scheme really looks great & sets this one apart! Looked awesome on the water too 😜
That is really a cool large airplane. Noah and his friend really did a nice looking paint job. I used to paint airliners and the occasional military plane for a living. You know what? It doesn't transfer all that easy when you scale it down LOL!
Nice build. Have you thought about adding a channel along the bottom of each float to allow for 2 mostly recessed wheels to be mounted in each, making the plane less draggy on takeoff/landing from/onto the ground?
The flaperons worked so well on this plane! Sometimes they act more as air brakes, but you floated it in with near zero airspeed and even got a flare out of it. Do they work on takeoff as well? Let's see some STOL flying. Nice to see Josh and Noah staying front and center in the show, building and flying planes. The genuine feel the channel has lately is way better than the hype UA-camr thing you tried for awhile.
Outstanding project and video ! I didn't check to see if others had asked, but what was the blur on the right wing trailing edge at the tip for?......Never mind....I found the answer down line a bit. THANKS! Great Job Noah!!
My 15 year old son has now made 4 Hello Fresh meals. He cooked the entire Hello Fresh meal, with help from mom. Unexpectedly he's changed his opinion on certain foods that he hadn't previously enjoyed. His mom and I were blown away and asked him what had changed. He said he liked seeing what went into the tastes and textures of the food. Knowing that changed his perception of the food. Sorry that was long winded but thanks for channel and all the great ideas.
Thanks for your episodes!! I got into flying because of your videos. Ive been flying since September 2020 and some of the guys out at the field don't believe my rookiness!!! They keep telling me I act like an intermediate pilot! Beginners luck I suppose!! The inspiration you put out in your builds and to see the joy on Josh's face is priceless. I wanted to see what that felt like and sure enough.......after building the simple soarer and the simple stick I felt comfortable enough to buy a Hobbyzone Aeroscout and a week later, the Volantex Phoenix V2. I can tell you that the adrenaline rush is huge EVERY time I fly. Thank you FliteTest!!!!!!
a little fleece sack and a reusable handwarmer (the kind you boil to reset) activate and stick it in the sack with the battery. keep it toasty warm for the flight.
Here is an idea for an episode. Make an airplane and a drone together and have both take off at the same time (that would make lots of laughs) and then have a servo release the drone in flight. or a drone with wings. Something around those lines. Keep up the great videos and blue skies!
My 6YO son has discovered your channel and is obsessed! He is showing me all of your videos and he ordered me to leave this comment for you. 😁 “Please make a big series of the simple stick with pontoons, and I want it to be orange. I want this for my birthday in April. Thank you, from Drew.”
This looks similar to the Single Engine Air Tankers that they fly for the Texas Forest Service. They’re basically a crop duster that has floats with retractable wheels. They land on a lake and scoop water, then dump it on wildfires. I’ve been around several, they’re always a welcome sight when fighting a big fire. Y’all should build a firefighting plane.
I'm from the south and a tabogen is a hat you wear to keep your head warm when it's cold outside. It's not called a bennie. That plane has floats. Not two tabogens. Love you guy. Y'all are great
Noah asks if dad wants a go, Josh almost shouts"yes" and grabs the controls. Were you eager to fly that one Josh?, especially after some of the stunts Noah was pulling. :)
@@joshuamelvin Fantastic! The simple series is my go to these days! Love the Cub, Scout, and Stick! You guys always make my days a little better when watching your videos! Keep doing it! Happy Tailwinds!
Get maybe ten people to fly ten planes or some other large number and have each plane drop a bunch of golf balls. Seeing how many go in a hole would be interesting and a massive bomb drop would be even better
I love you guys! You bring back the pleasure, i went out with my fpv wing today for 4 hours and it was bliss with 2 friends, had to be glued and taped back together but its such an adventure
something I do to help with the cold is too put a hand warmer pack up near the battery to keep it worm. i use this on my crawlers and I tape them to the out side of my drone as well. I live in northern ont, canada.
Hello Fresh is really interesting. I tried it a few times at my sister's house. Vegetarian and chicken dishes...really good and once you have the recipe, get what you need from the store and make it any time you want
The Carnard Stick would be an awesome build, I had more fun with that one plane than any of the dozens of other planes I've flown, full length ailerons gave it an insane roll rate too. You've got to fly it hard because with all the thrust behind the all of the control surfaces, the wind from forward motion is the only input you get to steer with.
i remember watching these builds years ago as a kid now I finally saved up for an rc plane. thank you ft crew
Congratulations! Happy flying. :)
I just got my first job recently so I am probably going to buy a kit after the holidays aswell
Cool!
What plane did you get!?

awesome landing Josh! Noah did a great job building and flying🤙
I loved my ugly stick that I had in the 70s, I did build one back in the 90s but my first one was my favorite. Thanks for bringing back this one.
Awesome! Two videos in one week! Thanks guys, love the content!
Nice build and flight guys . Like the bump on the water and then shore landing

Have you guys heard of the concept of aerial aircraft carriers? I think you should try it.
They did already. It was almost 2 years ago now. The built an Avengers themed heli-carrier, and launched/landed other planes from it.
Yes but instead of a heli carrier they could do what the military tried and use a 747(obviously a scaled down rc model)
