Because if the anxiety trigger/attack is bad enough, or leaves you in a particularly vulnerable state, looking back on it can feel that way. @@glorifiedtoasterwithlegs2294 that’s actually how you do it lmao. The reason anxiety gets bad is because you treat it like it has more power than it actually does. When you think of your anxiety as just an emotion and can’t control your life it ends up weakening
Real anxiety is a lot less noticeable from the outside. On the inside, you’re constantly hyper-focused on how you’re perceived. So, you’re actually pretty good at pretending that everything is fine. Also, anything going on/coming up that would make most people a little nervous or excited can instead outright terrify you. The only thing most people will actually notice is that you’re pretty jittery and often isolate yourself.

You know, i've been thinking, but has Dhar Mann ever even portrayed a gay person once? I've seen Red Letter Media talk about "Fake Diversity" in the context of Disney, where they will have diversity in the most plausibly deniable way possible (See: Putting a lesbian kiss in star wars, but having it in the background so it could be easily edited out in post). I get these vibes from Dhar Mann, they preach about being kind and accepting of others, but only on shit nobody really cares about anymore, as if they have an allergy to taking any political stance.
Bullying about Glasses: Yes
Bullying about height: yes
Bullying about wealth: Yes
Bullying about being gay: Not a chance
Racial Profiling: No can do buddy.
Police Brutality: Are you joking?
They can’t afford doing anything that can make people mad at them. For heaven’s sake they would do girls not being able to be gamers? I know it’s stupid, rather then ever doing a single racial thing.
Shut up no one cares

Maybe make that message yourself since others wont do it. Just a suggestion :p
Why are they portraying anxiety like it’s a PTSD flashback
Because if the anxiety trigger/attack is bad enough, or leaves you in a particularly vulnerable state, looking back on it can feel that way.
(Noting that the mother may/may not be severely emotionally scarred from those memories. Just saying that what one person doesn't find particularly harmful, another can see as life-changing.)
Should have been a panic attack instead.
anxiety disorders often come with anxiety attacks as well. they're similar to panic attacks, but not quite the same
Anxiety is like microdosing ptsd

But he also villanizes the idea of pointing out unrealistic ideals. More often, you are better off considering the sister character's advice. I cannot believe his videos have such a positive like ratio. It's emotional manipulation spreading harmful advice to weak minded simple people. Same goes for 5 minute crafts. Disgusting

People who dont experience it love to pretend they know all about it
Although I would imagine one of the worst parts of cancer would be the anxiety. Or the death. Probably the death.
Just tell yourself "it do be like that sometimes" and bam! Anxiety ended
And yeah, video games and drugs were/are my main ways of dealing with it.
