    1 thing i REALLY love about Florida is how fast these storms come in and how fast they go.. It gives you all of your senses in 1 day. ESPECIALLY if youre in Disney when it happens... Early in the day youre touring around the World in Epcot, then in the noon youre running for cover from the rain in a cozy food place or ride, then the remainder of the day to night youre doing whatever you want cause everything has dried up. You really get a full experience in a single day.

    Love it. What a beautiful looking storm. I went to Tampa many times up to 2019 before Covid caused travel issues. I'm a lightning fanatic and filmed it from Tampa Airport. And my friend in Tampa used to work for Busch Gardens Theme Park. Retired but gave me complimentary tickets for the coasters I love. He's retired now. But I remember all too well how the rides get closed very quickly when a storm is near

      I do too! So I don't blame you! I used to live in Satellite Beach, Florida from 1969 to 1971 when I was a little kid in elementary school. We had these summer storms almost every day from June all the way to August. I live in Southern C.A. now but I still come to Central Florida every June for a one-week's summer vacation. My plan is to move back there if I can get the ball rolling financially and live there for the remainder years of my life!

    Went down with my wife a few years ago--soon as we hit the FL turnpike, it started coming down so hard you couldn't see 20 feet. Had to slow to nothing on a highway and turn on the blinkers. Stopped after a few mins, and was bone dry within half an hour when we pulled into Old Key. But yeah, some rain gear when you go to Disney is a good idea. At least a couple of golf umbrellas.
    Oh yeah--that's Gran Destino tower on the left. BEST MODERATE at WDW.

    Had a storm like this when visiting Boca Raton over the summer. Couldn’t really see it approaching as it formed right on top of us.

    I was there in May, and the only thing that was prevalent was heat and humidity, only had storms the last day we were there that happened overnight.

    Are these normal in Florida?

    • @dojo4735
      @dojo4735 2 роки тому +2

      As someone who lives in Florida I can say they're very normal. Florida has a tropical climate, and in some areas even a tropical rainforest climate, so during certain parts of the year we get these storms every single day in the afternoon. Usually between 1pm-5pm.

    • @dojo4735
      @dojo4735 2 роки тому +2

      What I will say is any Floridian will tell you, what this guy is doing is the number one thing to not do during a Floridian lightning storm. If you're outside, you are risking being fried

      Very normal. I live east of Tampa and we received 4.5 inches of rain in about an hour and a half a couple of weeks ago. This is nothing.

      @@Ihatetravelling Why, these storms are awesome. I'm 4th generation Floridian and could not live where there are not frequent thunderstorms. Believe it or not, most Floridians who were raised here find these storms relaxing or soothing.
