Well, 56 gauge of the string plus controlling the attack does the job. But it gets tricky, if you hit the string too hard it will wobble out of tune. If you play in low tuning all the time I'd suggest you consider a baritone guitar then
That is called a locking nut, it doesn't allow you to bend further, but along with the clamps at the bridge, it locks the string in place so that, when you use the trem bar, it doesn't go out of tune.
I still use my HD500, there are many sounds from that device that I won't give up on hehe. BIAS just added more options and I should say I was sceptical about it but it sounds really good. Well, you judge!
Yeah I've seen a lot of big names here on UA-cam using bias it seems like when used right you can achieve so very accurate tones like you did , in a hd500 user and thought about grabbing bias as a 2nd option would you recommend me doing that ? Thanks Cameron! You can download BIAS trial and test it before you buy. One thing though is that you might need to invest in a good sound card to avoid any latency, but that's why trial is good to test the waters. I used Apogee Duet for this video and it works perfect but any decent sound card will do. Have fun!
I think both are great. I have POD HD which was released 6 years ago so obviously it falls a bit behind. However, it also has some tones that I'd never trade off so POD stays in my arsenal. I am sure Helix is way better at modelling but for heavy tones I personally felt that BIAS sounds better.
In drop A, the tuning from low to high is AEADF#B, basically, tune to B standard (BEADF#B), then drop the low E down a tone to mach your now downtuned D string one octave below.

How do you do to get your guitar properly in tune and the intonation right with a drop A?
