Hibernian Football Club took on Rangers FC in the Scottish Premiership at Easter Road!
Rangers ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a late Kemar Roofe penalty after a foul on Ryan Kent. Giovanni van Bronckhorst keeps up his impressive form since joining the Gers.
Hibs played well and were unlucky not to get a point. Easter Road was absolutely bouncing and the atmosphere was electric. But, it'll be the Rangers fans who go home happier!

Agree totally, from another Englishman who spent time in Scotland and enjoyed the football on offer...including attending a Cup Final. There is far too much negative press in England about Scottish Football, much of it intended to be funny, but very little of it is anything better than moronic and presumably written by people who have never even visited the country (to be fair and balanced, there is a fair bit of negativity in Scotland about England and the English). I am pleased to see that Sam is always well received by the clubs he visits, from players, officials and fans alike...long may that continue, loving the content.

As has been pointed out elsewhere Sam should be given a press pass by the SFA/SPL/SJFA - no-one is doing more to promote Scottish football right now.
Totally neutral, he's giving every club at every level a fair crack of the whip, which is more than can be said if the MSM.
He also cares about the fans, which (again) is more than can be said of the football authorities.⚽

Bit of an explanation on the flare from a former steward. Stewards are advised to let flares / smoke bombs burn to burn out for a number of reasons 1) you don't know what's in the smoke due to not knowing what chemicals are in the smoke bombs 2) there's a possibility that it could explode and cause injury 3) they burn at extreme heats. For all of these reasons is the reasons why the person had all the ppe on to retrieve it even after it had burned out. Like many things it's all about health and safety

Haven't been to too many rangers games in the past, and no old firms, but by far the best atmosphere I have been to was at Ibrox when rangers and Hibs were both in the championship, think we won 4-2 in 2015. Brilliant game 😎👍

The answer as a Scotsman myself
is yes.
With Hibernian it really depends how they are doing results wise as how many will turn out.
If they are doing extremely well they can take a massive travelling support to Ibrox Stadium, Celtic Park & so on but if results are a mixed bag then they wont turn out in as big numbers this has always been my experience.
I would say 100% Hearts have more die hard fans where Hibernian have more floating fans.
But you need to remember the population of Scotland aswell it's not a massive place population wise due to historical reasons.
Outside of The Old Firm Aberdeen 100% have the biggest fanbase Scotland wide then I would say Hearts then Dundee United, & Hibernian after that.
Just my view as a Scotsman & having watch our domestic football for decades.
I do like Easter Road as a Stadium but it's in a very rough area of Edinburgh.
Name two countries on earth where a 50/50 split until one can't sell out would happen? I'll wait.

Love your videos, but here’s a tip from my perspective as a viewer… I’d have cut the penalty shot at the very beginning so that you don’t know the outcome. I didn’t actually know the score of this game so just seeing the penalty about to be taken but not knowing what happened next would have kept me on the video for longer as I’d be wanting to know more. Just a tip for the next time you upload a video. But keep it going cos the content is great 👍🏻

I would personally say you have experienced one of the very best match day atmospheres in Scottish football last night.
I am in absolutely no shape or form a Hibs fan & never will be but
Easter Road has one of the best atmospheres in Scottish football as dose Tyncastle Park.
I would say on the subject of
The Rangers & Hibernian rivalry it's more passionately felt on The Hibernian side of it from the Rangers side games against Aberdeen are the second biggest but I have always felt for Hibernian out side of The Edinburgh Derby this is their biggest rivalry.
I would of sead uo until the
Scottish Cup Final that Hibernian beat Rangers in that Hibernian was largely an irrelevance from a Rangers point of view just a a nother game to be played but since then I think it means a lot more because of what happened after the final whistle went at Hampden Park that afternoon.
I would say the same similar about
the situation as regards Celtic VS Hearts.
I would say it used to mean more to Hearts fans but since The
Niel Lennon incident at
Tyneside Park a few seasons back it now means just as much to Celtic fans as Hearts fans.
I would say out with The Old Firm game Celtic fans want to beet Hearts the second most I am just going on what my Brother in law how is a Celtic fan has sead to me in the past about Celtic VS Hibernian me I am from the other side of the fence.
