We are a Vermont, USA fully licensed goat dairy and cheese creamery. We have only 50 goats but each one of them knows their own name and we do not refer to them as numbers. We keep families together and each kid is raised by their mother (we start milking them only after 4 weeks). While the technology in this video is impressive, it does not give the goats a good quality of life, as they are little more than a milk-producing machine in a big factory. Unlike these giant milk factories, we care about the welfare of our herd, spend lots of time interacting with them and make sure that they have lots of interesting wooden platforms to climb on both indoors and outside to keep them mentally stimulated. When a goat is too old to have kids, she remains with our herd to enjoy the rest of her life with us and her family of offspring. It is so nice to see three or four generations of the same family sleeping and playing together. Goats are intelligent creatures and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
@Peter Honig: That’s nice that you have such a farm but at the same time you can only feed a very tiny handful of people a small handful of products with 50 goats. The reality is that there are 7 BILLION of us who do not own farms but still need to eat every day. I live in one of the most prolific farming areas in all of North America with small farms, Amish farms, huge commercial farms and hobby farms, yet within a 100 mile radius of many millions of people who don’t own farms. These are the people who build houses, barns and factories, provide medical care, manufacture the equipment your farm needs, handle your accounts and taxes, look after your banking and investments, and on and on and on. A farm like yours in my area would cost at least $1.5 MILLION to purchase and would usually still require several hundred thousand dollars to make operable, and in the end would still feed almost nobody and would only survive until I got too old to run it. The fact is commercial farms are absolutely necessary to feed the world and while it’s popular to denigrate large scale farmers I can assure you from personal experience that their animals are very often treated far better than by homestead farmers, especially in kill operation, and their facilities often maintain far better hygiene and animal disease prevention…even if it’s because they have to. Sorry, but we all have to eat.

natural rearing and farm raised goats taste completely different no matter how cool this looks if u go to a remote village in an under devloped or devloping country and taste the mutton there u will understand the difference in taste.
In Uganda 🇺🇬, we do a 50/50 balance of technology and traditional systems to better of both worlds and for the animal to live and enjoy it's fullest potential in it's natural habitat 😊

Amazing video in my life ,great manage and lot of money for invest I have goats farm at countryside in Thailand, big smiles from this video and so happy . Thank you so much to Science & technology UI for great video.

Sickening video. They are not goats but robots, there to line the pockets of some greedy individuals. Swing open the doors and let the jump and run freely like goats were meant to do. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I often think about her even today , her name was precious , children would come from miles around to see my girl climbing a tree I had in her enclosure, CHINA BERRY AS I RECALL, walking out on each long branch trimming everything, she was 25 when she passed,i miss her, she died in my arms , she brought a lot of joy into this world, sure hope to see her in the next world, heaven.
😭😭💔 be strong don’t stop loving this life,,,, we all one day we will go so live long , live life that makes you feel in peace 👏🏽❤️❤️❤️. I know your pain. Keep working out keep marching 🫡🫡
Вот так и людей скоро оденут в браслеты, ограничат передвижение и назначат образ жизни. Мои козы знают человеческую ласку, прелесть гулянья в лесу и ВЫБОР!
It is a greatest invention in goats industry. If I get a chance to do something like this in Bangladesh I will definitely get in touch with you guys. God may bless all of you, I subscribe your channel. I am very happy and impressed. Shafi .Houston. Texas. USA.
I totally agree with you. We have 50 dairy goats on our licensed farm and each has a name (which they know well). Their quality of life is extremely important to us and we give them lots of personal attention throughout their entire lives, even when they can no longer produce milk. We do not separate kids from moms and we have multiple generations of families that sleep and play together. We will NEVER allow ourselves to become a milk factory.
@@smartturkey123 You are welcome. Our goats bring us lots of joy and we return the favor. I am glad there are some folks here like yourself who can see past the dazzle of the technology and think about the emotional welfare of these animals. Goats are quite intelligent and have feelings like us. We as a society need to treat animals more humanely.

I don't think being traditional is bad. I respect keeping things simple. If u have the work force it's best to do it manually.
