So I have the a959b need new esc, when I get the new esc I just swap it out and use the same transmitter and do turn it on then turn on the esc and it bind just like that?

Thank you for this! My new A979 could only go about 20 feet before losing signal and glitching out. After you showed the easy binding process, I got the idea to try the transmitter from my WLtoys 12428 with the A979. It works perfect! Over 300 foot range with no problems!

Hey man, i have the a959b with metal diff gears, spur and pinion metal gear and suddenly my steering dit not work anymore, i have checked the servo connection, ordered a new servo but still no steering. Could it be my esc or transmitter?

My a959b wont connect to my transmitter, i ordered a new esc. Do you think this will solve the issue?
I just got the A959B 2 days ago, on the 1st run, i already noticed that the ESC, battery & the wires between the battery & the ESC get wicked hot 🔥.
I have a wltoys 12423 & this doesn't happen. The stock battery barely even gets warm & neither does my backup battery, a 2200mah 50C.
The A959B gets sooo hot, you can smell the electronics overheating. And when I tried charging its battery on my smart balance charger, it wouldn't go into charge mode. Hook up my other 2 batteries for my 12423, no problem.
So looks like I may have a bad lipo & ESC with this car.
hey i got same problem with my a979-b battery charged but i press on nothing happened if i replace esc it's gonna work ? and for me ESC cost 23euru from amazon.....

Nice ... I'm up for replacing one myself after the first half a dozen runs on my a979. Mine is losing signal randomly. I ordered the L959 pro receiver since it is seperate from the esc and I'm gonna use a seperate hobbywing esc.

do you think can i use 12428 esc on a a979-b model (without changing the transmitter)? it should be a good improvement and it has also an empty socket where i caould plug a motor fan
Don't know about the transmitter, but the servo connector on the 12328 is bigger than the one on the A959(B). One could potentially cut off the connector from the servo on the 12328 & splice it onto the servo cable on the A959B, but I'm not sure if the ESC on the 12328 pumps out a higher voltage ⚡, potentially blowing up the servo.

In my 959b, esc Red led Blink very fast and It doesn't band with the radio... Do you know why?

I added a 380 amp fan cooled esc/ 8 turn 540 modified motor and it hauls azz it's scary fast😮😮😮😅😅😅 I had to custom cutt the body so the cooling fan could stick out the body it looks good

Purchase a different receiver then tune one transmitter to the new receiver
The WL Toys ESC's have very short range. I replaced with a new servo, esc and dumbo receiver on three of my cars and get much better range now!
How those dumbos holding up and what kinda range?

Mido Chrome yes, either way they are both a lot of fun but the a959 has much more control however I would change the tires to the a 979 - B Tires 4 best functionality you can also run it on 3s lipo power I have clocked very close to 50 miles per hour on 3s

Unscrew the motor chassis underneath and it will release the motor

thank you. my 979b esc just fried. was verybworried how Iowa's going to pair a new stock replacement with my old receiver. sounds like its going to be a breeze.

Aaron Nope I have used a 3's battery on both of these and it makes them absolutely insane I would estimate they go about 50 miles per hour on 3s so I think you'll be just fine putting it on 2s at a higher C rating

Aaron Nope the only problem you will run into because I have tried this many times is that you will need to raise the camera up to get any kind of depth perception otherwise you won't see things coming fast at all you will have to cruise at like 5 miles per hour. Raise the camera up with a stick about 12in and you can go much faster and it's easier to seek herbs and things coming
I've got a few cameras laying around to try. the small cam/vtx combos wouldn't work very well from what I can tell because the DOF is too deep/far away..making everything seem too small. I've got some older runcams laying around i'll give it a shot with. Might need to add a light. I'm used to FPV'ing freestyle/racing quads +/- 75mph so i'm hoping it'll be ok..just need take some practice in parking lots with no curbs around to run smack into :) videos others have done don't seem unmanagable.
If i change my esc then I also have to change my remote or just esc😕😕
