The products featured include 2020-21 Panini Select basketball, 20-21 Prizm, 20-21 Court Kings International Blaster, 2019-20 Chronicles, and 2020-21 Donruss Optic. BLASTERS OR HOBBY???
Birthday in 3 days for me. Hobbby!!!!!!!
Hobby!!
Both. Newbie question though, does blaster box have any chances of auto?
@@amirpapa6078 really low chance
hobby personally
You should do like 1 chronicles 2019-2020 hobby box or like 5 chronicles vs 1 hobby box
To be honest, I’d rather spend 700$ on single graded cards than either a hobby box or retail blaster boxes. I think hobby won this battle only because retail was very underwhelming. Love these kind of series. More please. Thank you Ryan.
Where’s the fun in that tho
@@michaelharper6996 yes spending 100$ to rips open some retail packs is fun but at that price I’m always taking the guaranteed. Just me though
@@calicardrips301 I fell the same way
@@JohnDabloon I hope you weren’t hurt
blasters Im too poor for Hobby!! Plus I love ripping packs loll
Blasters had a lot of patrick williams i noticed
The select retail blue is so ugly to me haha
Where can you get court kings blasters from?
Dude you need to get the Elite Wax Box Football Club Box. It's twice as good as.boom box. It's $200 for 7 packs all hobby and you get a gauruntee separate hit card auto.
The box right now comes with a 2019 Optic, 2X 2021 Contenders, 2019 Elite, 2021 Playoff, 2021 Prizm Draft H2, and a 2011 Panini Threads.
You can also get a 2021 Elite instead of one of the two 2021 Contenders. The gauruntee auto cards I've seen have been really decent too like a minimum of $12-$15 value some more. No junk for sure. Definitely check it out.
They offer a $90 version too but it's 1 hobby pack and like 5 or 6 retail packs plus 1 junk wax pack. Not worth it really except the 2020 and 2021 Mosaic packs but way risky for $90 and the retail game is going way down value wise for all products except Prizm and Mosaic of course.
Nico Sportscards got a crazy 1/1 in his box.
What is your biggest pull ever from prizm any year?
Why da heck did u not open any optic blasters? It's hard to compare when all the products are different.
hobby always the best for me if need to compare to blaster lol :)
11:50 lmaooo the 🐐
Where is the best place to buy hobby boxes and blasters online?
More of these battles!!
I have that exact Jermaine O’Neal jersey card
I’d say if you do this again it needs to be the same product in retail as hobby to show the difference
You could do a contest on which is better at each price like mega or blaster and see which is better prism or select
Blasters are more a chase and better than hobby boxes.
Awesome my friend yeah boy awesome
Don't think that's 600 worth of retail. More like 450
blasters for the win
Great Idea
that quickly is nice! hobby won fs
Hobby optic is like 650-700 now
you should do NFL retail vs hobby
I love hobby vs blasters. I think it would be cool if they were all the same blasters and the same hobby box to see the direct value
I think so too
Yes sounds the same amount of money on blasters vs hobby more fair I believe
i pulled a ja morant young dolph rc in a hobby so id go with hobby
Hobby for the guaranteed hit
I have to do retail because I can buy one box at a time with hobby I could only rip once every two months
Hobby has so many more chances to hit big
About 50.00 in resale value in 600 hobby box lol. Retail maybe 40 . But if both were current boxes the blasters would be 25-35 , so a comparison should be 20 ish blasters VS hobby box. Be cool to see 2021 prizm draft bkb hobby box vs 10 megas, 10 blasters and 10 jumbo packs. (or whatever ratio would be for same $$) I'm guessing retail wins doing the same amount and same product. I've opened soo much retail flux, prizm and optic it's hard to justify the rediculous prices on hobby , hobby prices are 4-8x what they should be but retail is kinda same as always 20-35 blaster, 45-60 mega. Alot of megas have guarantee hits too like playbook football, 50 per mega and 500+ hobby. So 10 megas I'm getting ten auto/jsy vs 1 in hobby. Granted less ceiling in retail but I've pulled several good rc autos and few booklet rcs in retail.
7 blasters, no doubt, more cards...one expensive hobby box is just a huge risk, autos of base players are not valuable
Nice openings you have much better luck than I do. You looking to part with that blue Quickley optic if so let me know. Thanks and good luck
Always a good day when packman uploads!! Also as someone who more often purchases retail this series appeals to me, and it seems like prizm retail taking better care of you than hobby
Dickriding crazy!!! Ppl like you the reason badahh jits ruining this hobby!!!
Yeah if you've got a spare hour to waste, Jabber jaws
@@bhansen9468 what's that supposed to mean?
@@bhansen9468 wtf? Haha I guess opening packs isn't fun for you?
@@bhansen9468 the fuck?
I just have to get blasters and small hobby under 80 ish I would prefer hobby though watching you makes me fell like I got these hobby’s great vid
I wish it was wiseman
Hobby for this selection
What would be really cool to see is you chase a Johny manzel auto
definitely hobby
This one was close. Hobby it all depends on the auto
Hard to compare when you have different products. Should of did a hobby box of prizm and same number of packs of retail prizm to see which is a better value.
Mexican pizza comes back and a packman upload. Life’s good
Pack man!!
Go to more card shows G!! We love them!
Love the pack battle vids. So good to get an idea based on similar value
Definitely retail. I have pulled a 1/1 and a 24/25 autograph card from a 25 retail box
Bro I have never seen a COURT KINGS BLAZSTER??
i bought a hole hobby bos of optic yesterday and the best card i got was a khawi leonard high woltage
Nice video
depends on the product because prizm mega boxes and other retail products can be really solid
ooofffff, sacrilege, but seems like buying singles was the winner
Football Blasters vs Hobby
Good luck brother let's go
🤞🏼😁👍🏼
How much does the optic box cost and where can I get one?
Wiseman and Haliburton may be the best in that class. Lamelo showed out one season. Edwards had a good rookie year too.
Retail, digging that Tatum
You might want to consider using BCW modular trays to help with the issue of the cards sliding over when they’re stacked up too high. I use them in my shop and they’re great!
Ohhh lala. I just got my fix. Packman vid, iz lit! You know, you know!!!
Dang retail was pretty bad (what a surprise). Optic hobby on the other hand is one of the best boxes I've seen of the product I think! Also I feel like if you pay resell for all those retail blasters it could equal out to a hobby box anyways haha
This is a little subjective. First, what is the ripper looking for? Second, wouldn't it be a better comparison if you'd ripped a hobby and blasters from the same set?
I think hobby won because retail was underwhelming this time
I like opening? So retail is fun even though it’s a real tough go. And I also like building sets of some better product. That’s where I get one or two hobby boxes and then just randomly get retail when I see it out. Select is a good example…
Isn’t select a bad example since it’s different colors for hobby and retail or do you still combine them?
U could do mega against 1st of the line
as a collector i would still prefer the 4 Retail boxes!
POV:
Packman: NOT A FRIEND OF MINE. PRIZM DOESN’T LIKE ME
Prizm: WE DON’T LIKE ANYBODY
I agree retail's floor and ceiling are rough and especially it seems, blasters. It seems like blasters are the worst retail format, at least by Panini. I usually get retail because it is cheaper on a per box rate, and I'm usually not wanting to spend too much at any given time, but over time, I really should have just saved up for hobby and passed on the retail.
If you want something that packs a hit for retail get hangers they always have better luck then blasters for me
@@pickleduck5679 Thanks! That's interesting. I'll have to try more hangers. I have tried some, and they seem a bit hit or miss just like blasters, but I have not tried a ton of them. Cellos have been pretty good for retail in my experience, but I also think for each of the formats, it depends on the set.
Def hobby
Hobby killed retail but overall it just depends what your budget it on which one you’d rather buy
Can’t wait for this one. I love these ideas you come up with
Thanks!
another banger !!!
hey mate, just bought my first pack in almost 30 years. Been binge watching your channel. Love your work. As a newbie I'd go retail as it about the fun of cracking packs.
that said hobby won the battle
Thanks! GL with your rips!
Always wondered about this. For example, So like a contenders hobby box for $700 or $700 worth of Contenders Mega boxes or $700 worth of Contenders Blaster boxes.
Love these box battle videos❤️
I don't think that hobby box was worth anywhere near the price of admission. That being said, I'd still take that blue Quickley Parallel over the entire stack of retail 💩. :)
Hey Packman keep up your 🔥🔥🔥🔥vids and 🔥🔥🔥 cards lol keep it up
Hobby boxes are probably my favorite of the two.... It's all a gamble though if you're doing it for money.... I just love the excitement of opening packs.... You are the man as always and love the content
Yeaaaa it’s the optic hobby for me 😂 honestly I feel better just comparing court kings and chronicles vs the optic hobby box lol
Hobby should always have the biggest card but as we've seen recently, sometimes retail has the huge hits. Like the Franco 1/1 pulled in retail.
Whey better players in the blaster boxes. But the Hobby wins💯
Hey man, I am broke know any places where I can get pretty cheap packs
W vid like always
Pack Battles 🤔🔥
I say retail over hobby just for the verity keep ripping
Always a Good Day when Packman uploads a Video. 💪
would love to see this as a regular series!
Always know Hobby is better - just can’t justify the price, especially in NZ Dollars 😵💫
You are wrong, you overpay that stuff terribly. In a hobby box you get all the same base useless cards and one autograph. Usually its auto of some noname player, value around 10 bucks. So eventually you will lose a lot of money. Its a huge risk.
@@birdhovno it’s subjective mate, so no I’m not wrong. Cheers
Generally hobby is the way to go, better autos & inserts, but the odd product like Select or Mosaic is definitely worth getting an amount of retail because of the variety which can be found.
Love to see more retail vs hobby
I love Pac-Man. You are the man
❤️
I think Hobby won this one even though neither was mindblowing. I usually prefer Hobby over Retail just because of the guarantees and ceiling but because of the cost I haven't bought much of anything.
Always enjoy the content and explanations. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching!
Bro, that Steph is like a $30 card. that was the lucky Curry.
Probably retail just because there’s so much more packs to open. Depends of course on what kind of product you are opening as well.
hobby won this round.. lots of rookie holos. Sometimes it depends on the product and my budget.. usually go for hobby. Congrats on the hits!
Always get me with these vids Packman 😆 You know what the people want and you deliver 🙌 Your the best man
Thanks!
Hobby won! But Hobby is too expensive! It’s all too expensive to me. If not breaking or you tubing, hard to justify $1,000 to $2000 a box
Are blasters not guaranteed an auto?
Nope :(
I would spend my money on hobby box. I think hobby won! Always in a good mood when Ryan posts a new fire vid!!🔥🔥🔥love your vids keep up the good work! :)
Thanks!!
I really like the pack battles, I think that it would be great to see these more often
Let’s go
Great vids love ya channel. I’m a collector myself. Respect 😎
Thanks!
I really think if you're going to compare hobby to retail you should have used all the same product. How can you really compare if it's different? Just a thought for next time.
I agree
