I played this about 10 years ago on calypso where most people were. There were a lot larger density of players back then, it seems to me that all the planet expansion spread people too thinly. I remember land owners hosting events with prizes for people with the biggest loot etc. I miss those times, the vastness and comeradery, when someone near you had a global they'd alway get a gratz etc and I felt I belonged there. I still install the game to look around but I chipped out so I'd have a lot of work to do.
I saw the video when you purchased it! I think right now the game is not advertised well or at all during these past years. They have to kick the marketing team in the A$$. We players all hope the UE lunch will be a success and new blood will pour into the game. I'm guessing the average average player is 30+. I think Mindark should let you be more creative with your LA. I bet you can do some really cool things. Maybe let an exotic comet crash in your land (like Ark Moon) and new spawns and elements are the results. Wish you success!
Many land owners seem to be struggling or cashing out recently. Entropia as a whole is doing pretty good though, tons of events and Markup everywhere! Interesting stuff, thanks for the peek behind the curtain.
Just out of interest I 1st subscribed because I was playing entropia and when you started rust I stayed subscribed because I wanted to support your content even though I wasn't interested in Rust. But I found the problem is now UA-cam doesn't always share your entropia content so I wasn't aware you were running events and so. I wasn't even sure if you had completed the purchase. I think the other problem was when you bought the land there were a lot of events on calypso. Other problem is people on Ark are tight and it's hard to sell anything on the auction house. Even pricing mats under MU people still don't buy.

Off topic, but damn, you could have sunk that into axie infinity instead when it had just came out. You would have probably made back tens of thousands at least. Back in the day people in third world countries could make possibly up to $100 a week with a one time investment of $30 and those who bought the crypto currency early on with that amount of money might have even turned $30 into $1000. It's not really worth it nowadays though aside from the people who sunk a ton into it at the start, they are still thriving.
Axie infinity crashed hard, I remember playing it when decent Axies were around 90-120$. Then they crashed to 12$ in a matter of a couple months, that's around when I quit. Entropia is doing pretty good, well mainly Calypso but every planet except for Arkadia and Rocktropia are also doing decent. Tons of events with good opportunities and Unreal Engine 5 coming up too.

Without new content new blood may be hard to get regardless. It may be a short increase for a short time but that's prob it with the UE5 update.
