Absolutely - my buddy and I went out roaming for some faction warfare stuff last night - my first time out of high sec. The over view definitely helped delay the inevitable massacre we ended up running into!
Using the latest version (from 2019/03) and it all seems to be good. There are some new tabs that aren't covered in this tutorial but I finally have an Overview that I can read and that shows me way more relevant information than anything I've tried so far. Thanks for the video (and the other amazing ones) o7
Another good guide, perhaps a tip for nooby's like me that want re visit video's. Put in description timers to see when a particular topic is discussed.
Before, i tried sarashawa and other overview, there good but none showed drones the way i wanted. I also tried to twik the default overview but missed exactly how. And this vids shows how, thanks hehe
Yeah I had similar issues with other ppls presets not being exactly what I wanted, plus this is the kinda thing I just always prefer to do for myself so I know what I'm looking at :) I think even if you end up with the same thing as a particular preset, you understand it better if you set it up yourself.
Nice video! Is there a way to customize the Bracket Preset without taking the same settings from the Overview preset? (If maybe I want to see drones brackets but not on the overview?)

So forever! :P I don't really have too many recommendations for aussie corps, but you could try TICKLE (Tactical Supremacy), or Okkoman Pirates. These are both aussie corps who I know a couple of cool guys from. Other than that just try a big alliance/corp really. Not AU-TZ, but cos they're big they'll have ppl online during our TZ who you can chill with :)
i think the biggest thing n00bs need to be aware of when customizing the 'overview' is that things in space (in the hud window) are controlled by a different "overview" setting than simply the 'overview' they have in the current "tab" gah. now how to actually explain that to n00bs in layman terms is doing my head in....you seem to do a good job around the 6 minute mark 6:24 - interesting...i think i tried having overview = brackets for one or more tabs long ago but stopped for some reason. i wonder if it was because lag? hmmm 6:45 - good point for n00bs keeping show all brackets on regardless...the biggest danger in starting to tweak one's overview is getting confused between the two (brackets/overview)...the problem with that is most people start buggering with their overviews in the hopes of eliminating mobile depot spam at jita
+roland rayar Yeah all the old overview tabs are still available under 'defaults' when you right click on a tab. It'll just open up a drop down menu and you can load back any of the default presets you still want.

Lee it's an in game mailing list accessed via your EvE Mail window. There's instructions at the end of the vid for how to add yourself to it :)
