1) The video is recorded with a smartphone (not my old photocamera which had better sound, can't find a compatible SD card anymore and the old SD card I have are all old and not reliable unfortunately).
2) UA-cam really compress the video and audio, in the original recording both are much clear and better.

Y'all! Just a shout-out here to say that this video hit n. 8 of the ten most watched videos in my channel! This is quite an achievement since my channel has been here since 2005 and I have posted various HIM's live videos since then (18 years!🫣)... this one is here only since mid-January 2023! I think it says something about how everybody welcomed Ville's solo work! It's great to have him back! Yay!

He explained why in a interview saying it showed how he felt while in the pandemic. Stuck in the studio and the mixer. He felt alone, secluded, and solitude. Perfect experience for him to express his artistic passion and vision, and he achieved it extremely extraordinary. 🤘🥹💜🖤 The song is perfect, but the whole album is. 🤘🥹💜🖤 sorry, I’ve been extremely excited all day ever since the day started. 🤘😅💜🖤

@@niconada404 A HIM song with multiple of Ville's vocal tracks? Don't remember that, please give me an example.
It's normal for studio recordings to differ from live performances, but I guess I know what surprised you, because it seems somehow strange when you hear the singer's voice amplified several times while his mouth is close
With HIM choruses were provided by Migè and Burton... plus, without the backing vocals, the songs wouldn't be way different... in VV solo work without layered vocals, the song gets simplified... not to mention that often he is singing different lines at the same time. I am used to it with other bands. I don't get what's the big deal...
@@niconada404 I didn't mean songs where the vocals are amplified in the studio, that's quite common. No, I meant HIM songs where Ville (himself and not Burton or Migé) sings different pitches and lines of the chorus, like here at 3:02?

Mige used to provide the harmony but the new guys aren’t doing that, so he needs the backing track to provide the best live performance
Is it really the absence of Migé?
Or is it more because there is neither a Burton nor backround singers among the accompanying musicians? So synthesizers and Ville's choral voices have to come from the backing track 😉

A few songs on his album have layered vocals. So my guess it’s backing tracks
No, there's backtracks for harmonies. Due to age he doesn't do smoking or alcohol, thus results in a stable vocal tone, range and power (especially for singers with asthma and allergies) Considering the experience singing a singer of 20+ years should be able to pull the same vocal color and strenght on stage, It's perfectly normal 🙂
As said above he was singing live, he has backing vocals pre recorded for all the different lyrics or layered different tones that Neon Noir has, the album has many "structured" vocals so if you want to get a close representation of it live you either have somebody backing you or you just play this part using backtapes.
Bunch of apologists here. I’m fine with backing tracks but he’s using WAY too many. He spending the entire song singing along with himself. Backing track volume is as high as his lead voice. That’s a bit much
