Great video mate. I've put my order in for a Kyosho. That mint green really grabs me. I have a 13.5T 240 gold for it - Might get a little dirty though..

Schumacher have had 13mm shocks for years
Also you would have to get the stiff side pods on the carbon chassis for racing on carpet, way too much chassis flex otherwise. Personally I wouldn’t go down that route

Some awesome kits and cars coming out, I love the CLK GTR on the TC-01 chassis, very tempted ;)

A car with lower weight, (as that Stock spec) is a bit harder to drive and set up. More weight makes the car more planted, easier to set up the shocks etc. If you run a 6.5t motor, power and speed is not an issue, is it?
Trust in Schumacher, they have made the best car for Mod race out of the box, and may the force be with you ⚡️

The metal chassis on the Mod spec lowers the centre of gravity compared to the Stock spec. If you put a hot motor in eg. 6.5t you will never want for power so the overall weight hardly matters, however the Mod spec should give higher cornering speeds on high grip tracks due to the lower centre of gravity. That's why almost no one runs a carbon chassis on an LD2. Given any weights you add sit on the chassis you will always get a lower centre of gravity for a given weight with a metal chassis.

better to go for the mod spec alu chassie and titan screws at the high points and stock or stainless down round the chassie plate to further lower CG.

Great update and I'm definitely interested in the club on the MB-01 chassis. I think the livery looks great!

Im looking forward to the yokomo, fingers crossed its not the last one 🤞 i had the yokomo and mid coming and its going to be a tough choice deciding what one to race 🤔 but prob the mid as every 87-88 heat was full off xls’s then mids, so guess next year it will be yokomo’s 😂

Dirt spec and stock spec are more targeted at the US market but the dirt spec should also be good on wet astro for those who brave the outdoors in the winter

Nice to see the improvements in the LD3! nice video. I ran a stock spec LD2 indoors for a while , it was good! with the lightweight savings you can then add weight to where you want it..

Schumacher developed the 13mm shock bodies in 2011 for the Cougar SV so they are nothing new for Schumacher.

I have only ever had a Cougar Classic and a older (used) K1 Aero, so I'm tempted to try a LD3. I love my B6.4 so it would be fun to compare and totally new experience for me.

@RCKickschannel 1000% have to try! My local club on the Isle of Wight is very similar sized to yours and I find the LD2 to be an awesome choice for tight and technical.. although my B6.4 went round epic too.. looking forward to a future comparison video!

Hmm, honestly I'd go Mod, the stock sure, will be lighter, but running a hot motor, could throw up some issues on being too light, and then your playing with ballast.
You can go too light, my 211xm was a handful without some ballast tuning with hotter motors.

Best suggestion I could make is, get the Stock Spec, and pick up the slipper. Although the Stock Spec is lighter than the Mod Spec, it has other advantages, such as the lighter & stronger carbon fiber parts. It's a lot cheaper getting the Stock Spec, and adding the slipper, than it would be to get the Mod Spec, and then having to add the carbon fiber parts. Plus, if your race class has a minimum weight requirement (which some do), you can always add that weight back via chassis weights, which has two major advantages - you can place the weight exactly where you want/need it, and it helps to create a much lower COG (as compared to the mod spec chassis).

Dogfighter at 500 pounds... I'm out, that's gonna put it at $1000 here in Australia. The 60th mid over here seems to be priced at $799 thats a big jump up in price from the competition.

Get it directly from RCMart in HK and it will be less. That and a lot faster delivery. Adam from RC Action Australia did that with the FF and he has it weeks ago.
