happy birthday “on this wave” 🌊 to celebrate, the official music video drops this friday. I wrote this tune in the corner of a club in armenia on a night when I was stuck in my head, feeling introverted. I competed w the dj to sing the melody into my voice memos, but managed to capture the vocal melody and piano loop. though the beat is driven by the environment that sparked the initial idea, the lyrics are all around another aspect of that environment - social anxiety. this song allowed me to express a vulnerability through the cushion of melody. happy birthday to “on this wave” and shoutout to anyone who’s ever felt stuck in their own wave 🤎
