I visited Taj Mahal in 1984 and I have been mind boggled ever since for its elegant design that translating the testimony of love between a husband and a wife. 40 years later I'm witnessing here again another elegant transformation of love between a nation and its Army Forces. This Church is one of the world greatest wonders that I have ever seen. Russian Army Forces are worriers of peace and love. Be victorious forever.

The steps of the temple of the Armed Forces are made made of alloy traks of the German trophy tanks of the Great Patriotic War.
This is symbolic, because as we climb the steps of this temple, we are walking on a weapons defeated enemy. By the way, there are really many symbolic solutions in the design of the temple. For example, its diameter - 27 meters - in memory of the 27 million victims suffered by the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War. The height of the belfry - 75 meters - in honor of the anniversary of the Victory, to which was planned to open the temple. The temple was built on voluntary donations.

I really liked the architecture and decoration of the temple itself - the Orthodox tradition and the military history of the country are very organically combined in the design of the temple! I also really liked the historical museum next to the temple, it is interactive, on the museum’s website you can enter the data of your ancestors who fought for their homeland and their names appear on the screens in the museum, my great-grandfather is listed there, he went missing during the Second World War.. ..

The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

Breath taking,...My eternal thanks you for this soul grabbing video. I have seen one shorter video and I swear to the Almighty that as I watched that one, I was called back to religion. I am a 30 year Veteran of the Australian Army, six years Infantry, the remainder in Intel. I served in the illegal actions of the USA against Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001 to 2004 and I have paid the price for my actions, what I saw and the fact I could not stop or change any of the goings on around me. A soldier follows orders, until they are illegal and we had our rules of engagement. I enforced those upon the men I commanded and myself at all times, but it does not give me peace.
I lost my religion, I was baptised RC and I have never done anything more than a once a year military memorial service until recently when all my hope had gone. Then I saw this church and I swear, it called to me. So much so that I sought out a contact who was a practised RO Priest. He gave me advice and now I am slowly learning to embrace this new found faith. It is my deepest wish to see this church in person, if nothing else is achieved by visiting Russia. I had hoped to be there during my next birthday which is January 19. I may be wrong, but I believe that is a special day in Orthodox religion as the day of renewing your baptism. I will be 66 and all seemed to fall into place for this to happen. Well, that was until they found a tumor just at the base of my sternum.
Your video has lifted my faith higher than even I could imagine, that feeling of AWE you mentioned, you are not alone...I felt it before and it was only stronger the more I saw. Now I have a stronger will to get there and whatever this is inside me does not scare me, whatever the outcome. I do hope for a positive, but that will depend on the Doctors and medications as to whether it will be removed surgically and safely. Like everything in life it will be a 50/50 chance that it can be removed and not set off any reaction, or it will just do what they do and the count down will start. Either way, I think I will see the Church, the only difference will be the timing.
Again thank you so very much for sharing this, for me it was the most inspiring moment I have felt for a very long time. I am indebted to you for giving me this feeling of AWE also as you shared it with everyone. 👍😊

27:20 We see an episode of the Greek rite of baptism of the Great Holy Prince Vladimir in the ancient city of Chersonesos on the Crimean Peninsula in 988. The spread of Christianity in Ancient Russia since that time.
    Vladimir Svyatoslavich
Prince of Novgorod (970-988) and Grand Duke of Kiev (978-1015) from the Rurik dynasty.
He was born around 960. The son of Svyatoslav Igorevich and his concubine Malusha. The prince's tutor was warlord Dobrynya.
In 969, he received the Novgorod Principality, the second most important after Kiev, from his father. After the death of Svyatoslav Igorevich in 972, he participated in the internecine struggle for the Kievan throne.
In 978, he captured Kiev, from where he expelled his elder rival brother Yaropolk, becoming the Grand Duke of Kiev.
In 988, he adopted Christianity according to the Greek rite, and also made it the state religion of ancient Russia. He was baptized with the Christian name Basil.
He is known by the names Vladimir I, Vladimir the Saint, Vladimir the Great, the Red(Krasno) Sun, Vladimir the Baptist (in church history).
He was glorified in the face of saints as equal to the Apostles. Memorial Day in Russian Orthodoxy and Catholicism is July 15 (28).

In 1938 the book was published, the work of the German philosopher Walter Shubart "Europa und die Seele des Ostens" / "Europe and the Soul of the East", dedicated to the origins of the confrontation of civilizations of Europe as the West and Russia as the East. The book broke stereotypes of Western worldview. Russia has proved to all mankind the inconsistency of the godless culture ... and, suffering for all, is purified itself from the alien that has suffocated it for centuries... Now begins the second act of drama. The road for the awakened forces of the East...». The European is drawn to specialization. The Russian - to holistic contemplation. The European is a dismembering analyst. The Russian is an all-reconciling synthetic. He does not seek to know more, but to understand the connection of things, to grasp the essence. The Russian is as capable as anyone - to merge poetry, science and religion; and in this - the future is behind him, and himself - the man of the future». Walter Shubart proclaims the salvation of Europe by Russia and the “birth of Western-Eastern world culture». Shubart’s book is a fascinating essay about the national characters of the world’s leading peoples. Although the main thing for the author is the forthcoming transformation of mankind and the saving mission of the «healing Russian soul”.
“The Englishman looks at the world as his own enterprise, the Frenchman - as a salon, the German - as a barracks. The Russian looks at the surrounding world as the Divine Temple.
The Englishman craves prey, the Frenchman for glory, the German for power, the Russian for sacrifice. For the Russian life is a sacrifice, a life of conscience... People have forgotten that life is a sacrifice, a submission to oneself or one’s ego higher purpose, cause or principle.
An Englishman wants to profit from his neighbor, a Frenchman wants to impress his neighbor, a German wants to command his neighbor, and a Russian wants nothing from him. He does not want to turn his neighbor into his means. This is the brotherhood of the Russian heart and the Russian idea. And this is the Gospel of the future. Russian all-man is the bearer of new solidarism.
Promethean man is already doomed to death. The epoch of the Ioannovsky man - a man of love and freedom. Such is the future of the Russian people. The West is driven by disbelief, fear and self-love; the Russian soul is driven by faith, peace and brotherhood. That is why the future belongs to Russia...
Characterizing the cultural and historical type of European and Russian man, V. Shubart uses the terms «promethean» and «gothic». The European has a «Promethean» moral constitution, which is based on the view of the world as an object, which should conquer, subdue, rebuild. Hence the eternal aggression of the West against the East, the desire of the West to «civilize» the East.
The book «Europe and the Soul of the East» (1938) was included by the German Nazis in the list of «undesirable and harmful literature. It burned on Nazi ritual bonfires.
Among the books burned after 10 May 1933 were the works of the famous nineteenth-century German poet Heinrich Heine, who wrote in his 1820-1821 play. «Almanzor» famous exhortation «Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man am Ende auch Menschen»: «Where books are burned down, people are burned afterwards».

God made all people from one man, Adam. All people are brothers.
The God saves people by preaching (1st Corinthians 1: 21, Isaiah 54: 13). He has nothing to do with war.
Unfortunately, the lying and corrupt clergy is silent about this. They even bless racists and nazis in the name of God.
The problem is that the Devil rules the world. He is a liar and a murderer. This is why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why people cry over stray cats and hate their brothers. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom.
That's why we have the Gospel about the Kingdom of God. Jehovah will put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will rise and we will meet our loved ones again! :-)

Communism has NEVER suppressed religion. Russian communists fought against the corrupt religious _institutions_ who had lost the true faith and only cared about power and money (also don't forget that those corrupt institutions supported the invasion of Russia by foreign forces fist during the Russian Civil War, then during WW2). These corrupt institutions were the enemy of communists.
However the true christians were never the enemy. Read what Patriarch Tikhon writes about Lenin, for example. Or read how the church donated a whole tank brigade to the Communist Red Army during WW2. Also watch Stalin era historic movies were Russian Orthodox faith is very much a respected part of the history. Look at the mosaics in the Stalin era metro stations - they depict warriors of Rus' under the banner of Jesus Christ.
Do NOT believe what the western propaganda is telling you about the USSR. Seriously.

0:52 you are standing in the central area right now(cao for short, yes it is not historic center and in 18 century it was considered outside the city, there are many 19s century buildings like in 10 minutes walk from where you are standing)... actually golden gate(building behind you) is still in the central area, the bridge after it is edge of the area, and after then there are still 10 kilometers(17 even depending on direction) to the edge of the city, the whole south-east area. it looks not that good because there was a hammer and sickle metallurgical plant, which was only recently demolished and built up with residential quarters, in general, a significant part of the area in Lefortovo(district that begins after golden gate business center) is occupied by an industrial zone, and few universities is also there, including МЭИ with it's own learning powerplant inside main building. my point is it is center. by administrative divsion it is center, i live close to where you are right now. center is not only inside garden ring, it was at some point... but it is not now, now center is inside 3rd ring road

Soviets didn't forbid the Cristianity, nor other religions. You can see evidence of it on many pictures. Soviets stripped Orthodox Chirch from it's property, wich was vast and rich (and even held serfs) because of Tsars. And do not forget that many priests was involved in politics, wich they should have never did. They helped to the pro-tsar forces, during civil war and nazi invaders after their exile to the west. Of cource priests was also divided, we had our own asket Orthodox Chirch that had no other business but healing people's souls. Modern Russian chirch don't like those askets, because they don't rush for people's riches. But you still can find them, around the country.

USSR didn't forbid faith, they were just saying that church and state shouldn't be united as USSR had many different confessions and giving preference to one isn't right nor should religion be above the state cos it isn't theocracy, 1918 Soviet State decree approves freedom of believing or not believing in any religion, 1936 new Soviet constitution same thing. Your knowledge on the subject is false same with those who as you said told you that. You think multi-confessional state would do that well if they forbid religion, especially the most popular one? Ask old people, look at old graves with crucifixes and crosses, old soviet movies and cartoons, books etc. There wasn't much financial support, but never fighting nor forbidding it only because State thought that faith is somewhat bad, unless there were open criminal cases within the religious circles, some criminals often were trying to hide behind faith, which as a result could put shade on priests or church, mosque, temples, kinda like death row inmates used to ink tattoos of Lenin and Stalin on their chests in hopes to not be executed.

Faith has NEVER EVER been outlawed in the USSR. As a matter of fact, it was *Lenin* who restored the Orthodox Partiarchy tradition in Russia (a tradition that had been suppressed by the Russian Empire). It was one of the very first things that the Bolsheviks had done - they had given back the right to elect a Patriach to the Russian Orthodox Church.

Allot of Russians would strongly disagree with that point of view.
To the degree my second day in Moscow I someone got involved in this topic on the bus. Some very strong opinions on Lenin If you live here.
Me personally I see it as part the countries history and as I said in my previous video, those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

@@Indulgeandpair of course you would have those "strong opinions" on Lenin. Russia has been colonized by the West since 1991. When I went to school in the 90s (I'm Russian) we were told all kinds of Soros-produced bullshit about Lenin and the Bolsheviks.
But the material evidence is all there. Lenin had set Russia on the path of independence and self-sufficiency, and Stalin had brought Russia to industrial, technological, and cultural heights that we had never had before, ever.
Before the Great October revolution, 70-80% of the population had been illiterate and the average life expectancy was 29-31 years.
After the Revolution, in just 15 years we had reached full literacy and the life expectancy had risen to 45 years, then to 70 years in the 60s.
For the first time in human history the common people had free education, free healthcare, free housing, free maternity leave, etc, etc.
And it was Lenin who started us on this path of tremendous achievements.
The West and their puppets try to erase this history. It is not a coincidence that the first thing the natsees in a certain neighboring country had done when they came to power was destroy the statues of Lenin.
If you ever see the statues of Lenin being destroyed in Russia, it would mean that we have lost to the natsee propaganda machine and are being colonized all over again.

@dorothydepth000 all of that is amazing, although not related to religion or the communists abolishing faith.
I personally am a journeyman and cataloguing the experiences as I see them. So I personally don't have strong opinions about Lenin for or against.
That being said, as I mentioned the population does, as does the orthodox Christians who I interact with every day.

@@Indulgeandpair that's what I keep telling you. The communists had never "abolished faith". This is ridiculous myth that the western propaganda is imposing on the world and the Russian people in particular to make us turn away from our history.
*Lenin had restored the Russian Orthodox Patriarchy.* Literally, the very same day the Bolsheviks took power they restored the Russian Orthodox tradition in its true, faithful form.
Moreover, the very concept of communism, and especially the communism here in Russia, has deep roots in the true christian values.

@@hejmercedes-h6f Why would I be embarrassed? We were instrumental in defeating the Nazis, with our alliance established long before the full discovery of concentration camps in 1945. Unlike us, the Americans knowingly took in Nazi scientists and war criminals through Operation Paperclip, which began in 1945. They granted these individuals U.S. citizenship and positions of influence, despite their involvement in atrocities. For instance, Wernher von Braun, a key figure in Nazi rocket development and later the U.S. space program, used forced labor from Buchenwald concentration camp for V-2 rocket production.
