I've meet this guy and I can't speak how strong his faith is in God, but he was at the stronger men's conference this year. Hearing this gives me a little more perspective on his speech now over reading it and seeing a small clip. So for that Mike I appreciate you. But in the end I do agree with what Mike said where if that was what him and his wife agreed to make them the beat people they can be in their marriage then so be it. And I agree that many women have started one path liking then getting bored or wanting more and change it up. Do what works best for you and as he said as long as it glorifies God in way he'll be happy then do it.

@jtharbinson no it's a Christian conference for men (James River also does one for women) and it's for us men to get closer to Jesus and God and there's some festivities as well.

I’m Catholic and live in Kansas City. I attend the Latin mass regularly and through that I’ve met Butker a few times as he also attends the Latin mass. He is a great guy and means everyone the best!
The fact that some people think it’s offensive for a Catholic man to talk about Catholic values is crazy to me.
People are overreacting about his comments. He isn’t a racist, misogynist, or a bad person. He is one of the most humblest men on Earth, just look at how he praises his wife and is showering his wife with praises, and thank you’s. He even teared up when talking about her, now that is a man. He puts his wife first before himself, that is what real man do. People can cast there hate on him no matter what they want but this men has a heart, and that is something that people have to see. He should not be fired from the NFL, nor to ever play football ever again. The Chiefs need him, if a QB dose’nt give it his all on the field the last person that will point to is the kicker. The kicker is the last person to touch the ball and decides the outcome of the game. Harrison Butker doesn’t deserve this hate

Problem is that your comment makes no sense. Every generation so far has mostly lived under the structure of the "dedicated stay at home mother". Sure if you want to argue that this last generation hasn't we can scale that back to the generation since the 2000s.

There was a steady decline from 1967 where 49% were stay at home moms to 1999 where it fell to 23%. So gen x had fewer stay at home parents compared to their previous generation, millennials fewer than the gen x, and gen z has the fewest stay at home moms of them all. That combined with the rapid growth of technology and the raising your kids via iPad method leads to the mess we have today.

My grandma graduated from two schools while she had my uncle and got married to my grandpa right after college. She tells me after all her decades in the medical field, having her family, being a wife and having us as her grandkids made her more happy than her career but butker never once said a woman can’t have a career and a family at the same time. The problem people have is they full heartedly believe anything posted anywhere on the internet is directed too everyone. Just like Mike said “this was directed at his demographic and his school. Which is a catholic school” not quote for quote but regardless. These are the ideals of his demographic, at least the majority of it. Not a single part of his speech insinuated that any woman should fill this roll of a homemaker. The essence of it was how much he loves his wife for making a home in which his family could thrive and that more people might benefit from a similar dynamic. It isn’t for everyone but this speech also isn’t for everyone. It just happened to go viral. I feel bad for Butker even if I don’t share his ideals necessarily. Sharing what works for your family, just because it was on a public platform, doesn’t equate to shoving your ideals down everyone’s throat and saying “this is what you should do ladies”
