Just going to mention for newer players. At appx. 21:30 Stoic moved a grey star leader into the wheat field with a squad. Grey star leaders don't add anything to combat usually, so another option would have been to keep the leader by himself in the trees to be a sort of rally point. If any of the squads break in the wheatfield they will try to go back to him. With the leader accompanying the attack, things will be more difficult to control when the squads start breaking. It's probably the move I would have made. Leaders are pretty precious. If you lose them, it makes it very difficult to rally broken units and since there are lots of snipers here who love shooting leaders who move, it might make sense to keep that guy safe until things become clearer. (...and after seeing the result. It would have ended up being the correct move) :) Great video. This is exactly the slow, thoughtful type of gameplay we need to see in UA-cam tutorials. Scenario looks excellent. ================ Just one more tip for new players regarding mortars. At about 40:10, Stoic was looking at a mortar shot against a building. It had a very high chance to hit because he had two shots of acquisition on it already, but the game was reporting a very low chance of doing damage (2%) so Stoic switched targets. Sometimes it makes sense to go after units in buildings even though the chance of damage is low. You're trying to get a critical hit (basically rolling 1,1 on two dice). That will switch the protection of the building (or forest) into a big penalty for the target and you can do a lot more damage than expected.
These are great Stoic, I hope you continue to produce them. Thank you for doing them.

Thank you very much for playing this scenario. A very didactic narration, thanks for all the details you give about the game and the battle. Waiting for the second part. Greetings!
I am at t6 in this game, and have had to retrace turns more than once. The defence is tough. I have had success bringing armor at the flanks- the Germans tend to retreat from sites that come under fire from tanks. My first priority was to eliminate the German artillery and mortar on the hill. And spreading the infantry to advance through the grain rook casualties, but got me to the row houses by t4.
at ua-cam.com/video/_2dcd8HRy9Y/v-deo.html the green pickaxe symbol ('labor') indicates an increased chance of success next time the gun is attempted to be pushed.

Looks very simillar to the Battle Academy game.
Like the well know strategist George Michael, he was careless with his Wespe.
I can't see why anyone would play this when they could play Combat Mission 2 instead. This looks like Combat Mission 1.
Computer is playing a little bit more interesting.
