She is seriously weird. But forget about her hair, watch her jaw, how it twitches, and watch her eyes how they shift constantly. I am a South African and recently more and more impressed with our prosecutors - a couple of years ago they were shocking, bungling up the investigation and many criminals walking free - there is no doubt this chick is going where she belongs - YAY!

I will say something that probably not be popular but it is just something that caught me a little... I do feel for Marcel to some small degree. She was only a mere young child brought up and shown an existence of what her mom and brother had. She had no normal kid life. She was taught that life is about murdering whatever comes in your way and being scared of somebody using and abusing everyone you loved. She maybe could have felt helpless and extremely scared because she knew she would be easily killed. Yes, she has to face the consequences of her actions and involvement but she is in my point of a product of her upbringing, I will never say this lightly... Her life was destroyed while she hit puberty. Oh, and why was she also not made aware of her mother disowning her and her brother while changing her moms will? Just a thought
Just wanted to respond to her not being informed... Based on what the investigator said about her not cooperating and refusing to be a state witness, she may have been told but at that stage she was refusing to cooperate with the state. I was deeply sad that she had a change of heart at such a late stage in the trial. I feel the same way as you do about her involvement in these crimes. She is such a smart lady and deserved a second chance.
I feel sorry for the way their mom exposed them to all of this without any regard for their safety and wellbeing. Isolating them from their dad by lying to them, telling them they aren't allowed to do afterschool activities. She was a horrible, abusive mother. I can also feel sympathy for the fact that the choice to be a part of this cult was not theirs and they feared for their lives - if they left where would they go? But I do think they should shoulder some responsibility for what they did since they knew it was wrong. Less than their mother and Cecilia, Zak etc. But still some responsibility.
@@nokuthulamathunda3929 her mother told her that she will get her out once she gets her settlement (she was suing the state for wrongful arrest). I'm sure she was scared that Cecilia or her mom will have her killed if she turned against them. But it would have helped her case a lot had she come forward when Leroux did.
I know a few girls that met Marcel in Sun City, they all say she's the sweetest girl, extremely intelligent but has accepted what she did, she knew she was gonna get life. Thing is, she should have taken a deal, like her brother did. I take my hat of for her, that she spoke the truth at the end. She's.completely seperated from her mom and Celia in prison.
You see, what I really appreciate about this prosecutor is his ability to have her not intimidate him or get any emotion out of him. She is arrogant, cocky, NO empathy, use and abuse her friends or family, an absolute malicious narcissist. The best is, she really believes herself to be untouchable and clever or intelligent. People think she is clever... well, she was only preying on soft targets using their lack of knowledge and good hearted natures. And she had the easy ability to see peoples weaknesses. I am happy there is no death penalty for her, she doesn't deserve that. She got what she deserved and she will be overwhelmed by her own demons she created throughout her life.
She's clever, it will catch up with her, where there's smoke, there's fire, so much going on in this case,Marinda Steyn, don't sound good,In my opinion, this is a group thing all involved in this case, all of them should be found guilty
What about your victims that were trying to breathe from being strangled and stabbed in the throat what about being concerned about their health and their ability to recover
I have been following this case, but can't seem to see what the outcome was for Cecilia - was she found guilty and convicted or is it still in progress?
She received 13 life sentences that run concurrently. So in effect she is able to apply for bail after 25 years. She will likely not get bail unless something drastically changes with her attitude and willingness to confess. Also, the case is well-known so the outrage from the public, even then, will deter bail.
Watching this back the defense attorney wasn't doing such a good job. I saw multiple instances where they could have objected but did not. For example he makes statements that are not questions to elicit a response where they can object to it not being a question. Also statements like 'wow, that's interesting' isn't permitted. There are also instances where he asks compounded questions or asks the same thing several times. This is an effective strategy to make her annoyed and angry or catch her making inconsistent statements - which is why they should object to it. He interrupts her which should be objected as well. I do appreciate not having constant interruptions but its just an observation.
How did THIS individual convince people that they truly were the voice of god. Even if they were formally innocent, these individuals would have to be denied any kind of decision making, including brushing their teeth at any specific time for whatsoever reason, etc etc etc.
Middle aged woman with a crew cut and thinning bald (that’s PCOS) but spiking up the rest of the thin wisps to look like an 80s teen boy, is very weird. Is that one of the 1000 personalities? Where are all the personalities? There are many ways to disguise hair from PCOS, but this has to be the weirdest choice to display it.

They probably said the hell with you we not going on the stand 😂😂😂
they are hiding behind the person, otherwhise they will also go to jail......
you are all ridiculously funny hahaha
Love this comment
That was a fabricated story .. she even admitted it wasn't true
Marinda teaches English, but her English is really not good... At least not on a standard that one would expect from someone who teaches the subject.
She makes a lot of grammatical mistakes
All of these monsters should have been given capital punishment for these heinous crimes
End their psychological suffering before it drives them to madness? Why??
How can how can anyone be so EVIL and matter of fact about murdering people? I hope the are locked up until the end of their miserable lives.
“I’m charged with being a werewolf?” Rofl I guess she still has her sense of humor
Basically C was receiving monthly allowance from Miranda
