This Sam guy needs more exposure. He seems to have a lot of respect for what Wrestlers do. Most people only ask the basic questions... He actually interacts and stuff.
Ave Satanas Luciferian he's now been a guest on the panel at ppvs so hopefully he gets more opportunity.... although the wwe will probably have watered him down
+Melissa Hash That would be great but being on the creative team can be just as mentally stressful as being on the road 300 days a year. Paul Heyman acknowledged the pain and BS that is involved with being a writer and a booker. Going against the grain was mentally and emotionally draining for Paul Heyman. He burned himself out til the end of 2006. I respect people like Paul Heyman and CM Punk for having the balls to speak their mind and going against the grain but after several years of just fighting for what you believe in, you get burned out. It would be great for the products for Jericho, Edge & Christian to be part of the Creative team but these guys gave so much to the business. It would be too much work to ask for these guys to be working on the creative. They have paid their dues to retire.
ozboybrian Edge can come back. He doesn't have to wrestle. However I think he should stay retired because being a creative writer is a 70-80 hour a week job. It would be too much stress for him. Plus there's a lot of bullshit he would have to put up with. Edge doesn't need this job.
I honestly believe that he was by far the best on the mic from 2000-2004, not even Austin and Rock could compare to this guy's genius ( in my opinion). Sure they got bigger pops, and were ultimately just all around more successful Superstars then Chris, but there isn't anyone in that time period who could match his mic skills as a heel
kevindagame "WHAT?"..... "WHAT?" ......"WHAT?"....damnit Austin we love you but todays fans say that everytime anyones on the mic and I don't think half of them know Steve started it.
Jericho is the best heel in the business, takes his persona outside the TV show (insulting people on twitter etc.) wish more guys were that comitted to a character.
Why do we not have a dvd about that feu? By far the best feud in the 2000s era maybe even ever. It was so amazing tuning in every week just to see what jericho and Michaels would do next
16:29 I can confirm. I remember watching this on TV, and I absolutely despised you Chris lol. But now as you said, we all love you. It would be difficult to pull that character off today.
Great interview. Jericho is the top genius in wwe. I always like to watch interviews from cm punk and Chris Jericho because they are very interesting and share a lot things that we don't know
I never noticed there wasn't any Jericho merchandise back during 2009-2010, huh he wanted this whole thing to work but I was still a fan of his (despite that little lack of knowledge there)
If Jericho would have tatooed Punk in 2012 that would have matched the ridiculousness of the Ministry Undertaker abducting Austin and attempting to embalm him alive. Would have been so gawdy and unbolievable.
I like the beginning, you can tell Chris is used to being an interviewer on his podcast talk is jericho, on podcast one. I also want to take this moment to talk about the phenomenon that's changes people's lives. I am a guy who had a freak accident when sneezed and became 80% paralysed. however thanks to DDP YOGA I can now walk and am even on the NBA all star team this year. DDP YOGA it's completely life changing. It's also free once you pay a monthly sum plus all the hidden costs and if you want to get the best out of your life... use DDP YOGA
Didn't know that! Jericho always disappears for a while then cones back good then turns a heel then leaves to do other things! He been like that since the 90's!! I like though!!
me 2 I think he also go on tour with his fan fozzy then leave wwe so he can do his tour with his band then com back to wwe I remember his last match with rvd
My favourite match of all time is Jericho vs Shawn Michaels feud in 2008 particularly that ladder match. That was a classic entertainer. Jericho forever "best in the world at what he does" keep entertaining chris.
They honestly are. I was at a house show once and they had a poll to whether or not AJ Lee could be at ringside. The fans voted her to stay and the wrestlers all looked shocked.
I am a huge fan of Chris Jericho. He works very hard every time to transition and invent a fresh character particularly the heel character 2008- 2010. Imagine how hard it is find a character like that and getting over with the crowd and imagine how hard it is to draw a massive heat from people even outside. Not any wrestler can do that but only Chris Jericho.
When he said "DX and all those guys", I bet he was mostly taking about HHH. HHH always hated Jericho and tried everything he could to bury him when he first arrived.
While the whole alcholol angle brought us some good moments, one of my favorites being "I will never talk about your father on this show again...... however, your sister.....", I would have loved to see that tattoo thing. Mostly because I feel like that would have been so much more devastating in the long run. The whole point in their feud was that Punk was gonna end up like his father, but he didn't. With this, there would have been an actual physical (literal) battle scar left in his body. And also as someone who has tattoos too, though not that many back then yet but still, for me personally it would have still seemed insane that Punk got tattoo'd for real by Chris fucking Jericho on TV.
I kind of knew the polls where somewhat real, but still what's the point? They pick the guy that they assume is going to win and most likely will win someone like CM Punk, then for the 2ed one they will pick someone likeable but someone that can't beat someone like CM Punk in the polls someone like Kofi Kingston, and for the 3rd guy they will pick someone like let's say Matt Striker. Now out of all of those 3 guys wish one would you clearly pick to see in a match.
lol very true. the voice she makes actually makes people turn down the volume on their TV screen. ive literally muted my TV screen countless times because of Vickie guerrero
"My Life With Sam Roberts #2: Not the Sam Roberts you may be thinking of" By Chris Jericho, on sale at all major book retailers and available in ebook format from iTunes and Amazon!
It's so depressing to see what people really look like when they're doing radio, they put on these happy and expressive voices but their faces couldn't look more miserable.
I always thought that, that method acting kinda thing that Jericho pulled off with not giving autographs, ignoring the fans and being in general a douche, was a standard in the business. Props to Chris, in his position i'd do the same as a movie and lore guy, it must feel real. Especially as an entertainer, you have to commit fully to your role, good or bad. Doesn't matter.
This Sam guy needs more exposure.
He seems to have a lot of respect for what Wrestlers do.
Most people only ask the basic questions...
He actually interacts and stuff.
Ave Satanas Luciferian he's now been a guest on the panel at ppvs so hopefully he gets more opportunity.... although the wwe will probably have watered him down
WWE needs Jericho, Edge & Christian to come back as part of the creative team! That would be friggin' awesome!
+Melissa Hash Yes
+Melissa Hash That would be great but being on the creative team can be just as mentally stressful as being on the road 300 days a year. +Melissa Hash Edge can't because of spinal problems.
ozboybrian Edge can come back. He doesn't have to wrestle. However I think he should stay retired because being a creative writer is a 70-80 hour a week job. It would be too much stress for him. Plus there's a lot of bullshit he would have to put up with. Edge doesn't need this job.
Edge would be better coaching the new talent on working with the energy of the crowd and handling the crowd, specifically for the heel persona
New drinking game....
Take a shot every time Jericho looks at who is passing by outside
Hahahaha
He is by far my favorite wrestler.
Punk and Tyler black aka Seth Rollins would be my favorite
John ce na sucks #PushRollins
John ce na sucks still a kid huh?
Jaymzofsteel shut up i neevr cared for him
stndrds79 What?
1:39 guy in the background texting his mom to bring him a new pair of underpants😂
Jericho is the George Harrison to Rock and Austin's Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Just as good, but out shined by the others.
Don't forget whats really important. He could out wrestle both of them.
Yeah, The Rock and Stone Cold got boring at times
kevindagame "WHAT?"..... "WHAT?" ......"WHAT?"....damnit Austin we love you but todays fans say that everytime anyones on the mic and I don't think half of them know Steve started it.
Brian Rose FYI, I'm not a WWE fan. I'm a WWF fan, huge difference
Jericho is the best heel in the business, takes his persona outside the TV show (insulting people on twitter etc.) wish more guys were that comitted to a character.
He loves his job.
He also refuses to put out merchandise when he's a heel. He says it's because he doesn't want people to cheer the heels, and wear the t-shirts
What a dick
Jericho Invented Sam Roberts radio interviews.
Awesome interview, Sam. As usual, your interviews demand a complete watch, start to finish. Great stuff.
Why do we not have a dvd about that feu? By far the best feud in the 2000s era maybe even ever. It was so amazing tuning in every week just to see what jericho and Michaels would do next
Y2J rocking the Paul Stanley t-shirt. Nice one !
This is why Jericho is the G.O.A.T. Honest, clear perception of what works and what doesn't. Brilliant interview.
Chris Rocking the Paul Stanley shirt! Love it!
16:29
I can confirm. I remember watching this on TV, and I absolutely despised you Chris lol. But now as you said, we all love you. It would be difficult to pull that character off today.
Y2J is in a league of his own. He and Punk are the greatest wrestlers and overall packages of the last 30 years. Their heel work is stellar.
So is their babyface work.
Woahhhhh you realize the last 30 years includes rock and Austin and nwo hogan right???!!? Lolz
@@gorditaopm Hogan lacked in actual in ring ability.
Chris Jericho.
An inspiration because he's a great wrestler, and most importantly, a great wrestling mind.
Great interview. Jericho is the top genius in wwe. I always like to watch interviews from cm punk and Chris Jericho because they are very interesting and share a lot things that we don't know
I never noticed there wasn't any Jericho merchandise back during 2009-2010, huh he wanted this whole thing to work but I was still a fan of his (despite that little lack of knowledge there)
the fact punk agreed to get tattooed for a feud is why he is the best in the world (at the moment)
Sam you should Interview Dave Batista
If Jericho would have tatooed Punk in 2012 that would have matched the ridiculousness of the Ministry Undertaker abducting Austin and attempting to embalm him alive. Would have been so gawdy and unbolievable.
1:39 Jericho's thinking "Are we broadcasting from a High School?" ::::Sees lockers:::: "Yup..."
This was a great interview. Sam always has the best interviews!
Great interview, keep up the good work Sam. Jericho is legitimately the most interesting wrestler to listen to.
Who has been a better heel in the history of WWF/WWE then Y2J in 2008-09? He was the shit. You can tell he was zoned in on it as he says.
I like the beginning, you can tell Chris is used to being an interviewer on his podcast talk is jericho, on podcast one. I also want to take this moment to talk about the phenomenon that's changes people's lives. 14:14....that was so good I'm gonna write that down lol
Chris Jericho is GOAT.
Thanks for another perfect interview Sam Roberts!
thanx jericho for everything
Thank you for posting this for those of us who are too poor to afford satellite radio.
Jericho is the best wrestler of awwww I hope he com back
Me too!!
Roger lord I will like to see jericho have anorther run in wwe to bad he aint going to be in this year wrestlemaina
Tyrone Alexander Yup Yup! :-[ Forgot he had band!!
My favourite match of all time is Jericho vs Shawn Michaels feud in 2008 particularly that ladder match. That was a classic entertainer. Jericho forever "best in the world at what he does" keep entertaining chris.
sanjay prakash dude I just watched that match tonight and its amazing probably my favourite ladder match of all time
"if you could mention a little Sam Roberts in there" had a good chuckle, did Jericho ever mention him?
8:50 10:11
btw that feus with Michaels was 7 years ago like wtf I remember being 12 and watching it so freaking surreal for me
They honestly are. I was at a house show once and they had a poll to whether or not AJ Lee could be at ringside. The fans voted her to stay and the wrestlers all looked shocked.
"I was super hungover" ..... "I don't get hangovers"
Love your interviews, man. You don't ask the same, stupid questions that everyone else asks.
Can anyone find the timeline of the 2008 feud between him and HBK online? If so could you post a link? Not showing up for me for some reason.
Jericho and Punk are both the best at what they do.
Great stuff~ Reminds me of when my Grandmother and I hang out..
Lol how
What a nice talk, Sam. Thanks!
I agree but that match was called on the fly the ref simply whispered to Y2J who was going over and that the finish was taking Sheltons finisher
lol I love Jericho! He's the only cat that can get away with saying "hold on." Without looking like a complete asshole
Jericho gives the best wrestling interviews. Period.
Sam should get his own show on the WWE network, and Jericho deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame...
Jericho seems very cool.
10:50 chris jerico had his shoes off
How many ppl walked by thru the hallway?
I so cant wait for his 3rd book
reading his second now
Jericho is a genius!!!
Sam, you do the best interviews bro!
Great interview
Jericho is the man
When he said "DX and all those guys", I bet he was mostly taking about HHH. HHH always hated Jericho and tried everything he could to bury him when he first arrived.
Think they can afford a actual wall?
Studio looks like a video room next to
The principal office where they recorded
The pledge of allegiance
Chris jericho broke the walls down
Jericho should be a radio presenter, early on seems like he was hosting...
xD
Naz L He has his own podcast "Talk is Jericho"
Favourite Wrestler Ever.
While the whole alcholol angle brought us some good moments, one of my favorites being "I will never talk about your father on this show again...... however, your sister.....", I would have loved to see that tattoo thing. Jericho is fuckin cool. He IS his character
My favorite part of the interview is the portly dude with the bomb-omb shirt that keeps walking by
Timestamp for hbk stuff?
Easily one of the best
Would have loved to see him tattoo Punk!!
lol 22:44 "im raping him" cracked up at that XD
17:39
Jericho is a genius
My God, I love Jericho's Paul Stanley t-shirt.
Vince! What the hell??? That tattoo idea was PURE GOLD!
Am I the only one who noticed he said he was hungover and doesn't get hang overs within like a minute... lol
lol very true. the voice she makes actually makes people turn down the volume on their TV screen. ive literally muted my TV screen countless times because of Vickie guerrero
22:20-22:46
Would love to have a conversation with Jericho
"My Life With Sam Roberts #2: Not the Sam Roberts you may be thinking of" By Chris Jericho, on sale at all major book retailers and available in ebook format from iTunes and Amazon!
Y2j is in my top 5 wrestlers of all time!!
Not true Shelton Benjamin vs Jericho at Taboo Tuesday was totally called on the fly according to Jericho just read the book "Undisputed"
22:30
He's the best
Jericho and Sam are two guys I would love to sit down with and have a few beers, talk wrestling and music.
Roland in the hallway, Best part of the interview!
Vince\HHH please hire Sam. Your viewership will increase
It's so depressing to see what people really look like when they're doing radio, they put on these happy and expressive voices but their faces couldn't look more miserable.
sam looks pretty happy tho
Roland appearance at 2:10
Jericho is so interesting !
2:31 They He said “your the shit”
He still looks pretty young here.
That tattooing Punk angle would of been amazing. God damn it Vince.
This man is awesome
Chris Jericho best in then worl!
he needs one more wwe title run as do many guys like kane, big show
I always thought that, that method acting kinda thing that Jericho pulled off with not giving autographs, ignoring the fans and being in general a douche, was a standard in the business. Props to Chris, in his position i'd do the same as a movie and lore guy, it must feel real. Especially as an entertainer, you have to commit fully to your role, good or bad. Doesn't matter.
Does Chris Jericho remind anyone else a little bit of Neil Patrick Harris? Especially his Barney Stinson character.
I want name interview who talked chris and say to hit wife hbk real i want name that interview
Wtf are you talking about
and christian all the attitude era guys one more run!
