I'm looking into building a 4.2 Vq37vhr motor with an automatic transmission with longer gears. I want run between 500 to 900 horsepower. I also want to run a single turbo kit too. What parts will I need to build the full motor? Also, how much will everything cost for my full swap?
You’ve got a lot of research ahead of you! You could hit 500 on a stock block VHR pretty easily with the right kit. To hit the 900+ mark is going to require replacing/building just about everything and will be tens of thousands when all is said and done.
If you decide to do the knuckle the bushings press out either way FYI
