- A really brilliant trip to Hatfield station on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from VTEC, Grand Central, First Hull Trains and Govia Great Northern.
The station layout was slightly different to what I was expecting I must admit, particular with platform 1 being so far down from 2 and 3 but nevertheless the views were well rewarded.
This is a station I will come back to and more than likely this very spot, originally I did go onto platform 2 but I couldn't see a thing, the trains would be right on top of me before I would be able to film them.
But what made this trip really special for me was to visit Freddy, one of the nicest guys I have met, really well mannered . He did some filming with me and it really made it a great afternoon out, he helped me point out certain trains from a great distance away.
I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I did filming it. My next video will be from Brookmans Park.
Great film! Especially funny to see all our heads popping up at various points in the video. Fred loved filming there with you and we were very lucky with the bright, warm sunshine. Keep up the good work and hopefully see you again.
Thank you ever so much :) I really enjoyed coming here. Definitely got the best of the weather that day. When I was at Potters Bar and Hadley Wood the heavens opened up on me. I look forward to being able to meet up again :)
i live in Hatfield- just up the hill and you can see my house if you take a train on the north bound platform. i literally hear those trains roaring past everyday day, but you get used to it after living there your whole life. XD
Excellent video
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it :)
Glad you liked Hatfield Station, Tornado. Not too many people looked put out by your presence, may have to start and record there too soon. Cool video. :D
Thanks. I must admit I really enjoyed filming here, station layout was a little different to what I was expecting. Everyone on the platform pretty much ignored me the entire time, I was half expecting someone to say something as they walked behind me on the footbridge.
I know all about trains and I love Hatfield station
My local station i don't admit you do get some fantastic shot there
I love the 365s
Im sad that the 365s are gone:(
I sure do miss the 313s and 365s
My local station I do admit you get some fantastic shot there i got Oliver Cromwell there a few years ago
The station layout was slightly different to what I was expecting it must be said. I originally went onto the second platform but the views weren't as good
Your local station on my birthday! Coincidence?
nice work
I do miss the class 313s
Great location once again, I liked the little guys BR hat, have U donr Hadley Wood yet?
cheers
I really enjoyed filming here, different layout to what I was expecting. I have filmed at Hadley Wood. That will be the last video I upload from the East Coast Mainline. After that I will be going back to doing random stations across the country every week.
good video
Thank you
Great northern and Thameslink will be connected by 2018, connecting the ECML and MML just north of Kings Cross St Pancras.
That could create a serious bottleneck, but it should make for some good viewing
Thats just happened
Grt Northern now run into STP
Try Moorgate or st Pancras or haringey
why are all 313's 3 car?
That's a great video at Hatfield! :) Maybe Virgin could run their 11 Coach Pendolinos on the ECML. Also about Dunbar Station it should have 3 platforms to serve North and Southbound trains to and from Edinburgh, Plymouth, Kings Cross and Aberdeen. The 313s go to Moorgate via Highbury & Islington, Essex Road and Old Street. Although you don't follow Politics Its clear more People in the UK support Donald Trump compared to Jeb Bush.
I would love to see a class 390 running the Anglo - Scottish services on the East Coast Mainline. Sadly I can't see it happening as the IEP 800 series trains will be replacing all of the HST sets which will be moved into Scotland and all but a handful of the 225 sets will be leaving VTEC. They will be keeping a few for the Anglo - Scottish routes but running them in shorter formations
I am friends with fred
