Hi just putting my opinion here as they say comfort is opinionated but this is the most comfortable headset i have ever used it feels like a pillow (maybe i just had uncomfortable headsets in the past idk but i really love these ones) the only downside is the really loud cord its very noticeable
I come from the "Sony wireless stereo headset 2.0" (original ps4 headset) and I have no experience in the world of audio, so I can't make many comparisons, but I can say that the comfort isn't bad, for me they are comfortable despite the ear touching the inside of the headset. The pressure they exert on the head is also not excessive. However I have noticed this: if I press the mute button, the microphone still picks up the voice, albeit at an extremely low volume. I don't know if this is normal
Same thing here. If I scream people can hear me on mute. The main problem I have is the volume wheel is really sensitive. Otherwise the mmx is a great headset
If it's only the comfort issue is stopping you from trying it out: don't. Lots of reviews mentioned it but the sound quality convinced me and I'm happy I bought it - I have an "average head" and it's absolutely not uncomfortable.
How does the Augmented Mode work? Do i listen myself just like with an open headset? Or does it record myself and play the recorded sound through the headset?
I bought the 150 a year ago and I must say, its a good headset. I watched this video a year ago as well and I've come back to say that they have a severe severe (SEVERE) problem. They disconnect any time the wire is moved and this has been an issue for the past 8 months of the year I've owned it. Its been driving me mad, other than that its a wonderful headset but BUYERS BE WARE. They use a USBC connection and its ruining everything else this headset has to offer.
Disappointed to hear about the comfort level. My other beyernamics are insanely comfy for my big ass head and ears, a shame these might not be on the same level. Really wanted to try these
Same. I have the MMX 150 and the comfort is terrible. The cushions are so low profile that you ears are pressing against the drivers 24/7. Compared to Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX for example those things are torture and there is a universe between them regarding comfort. So yeah...don't buy them :D
If they only planned to make replacement ear pads that were thicker.. the comfort level is driving me nuts, ears are sore every time im done gaming. I asked Beyerdynamic in an email if they had replacement ear pads or were planning to make some that were thicker, but they said no :(
Honestly, I disagree on the comfort. I wore these for long 9-10 hour sessions and I didn’t have any issues except earcup breathability. I got a little sweaty around my ears, but even then, not too prevalent
So usually that's something you edit with the system you're on. I have a series s that let's me balance between the two and its awesome. Im sure pc has stuff to balance as well. Can't say as I'm not a huge gamer. Not sure if ps has it. I don't remember my ps4 having it
I was looking for a good sound and quality headphones. They look nice, so I might some day buy them. Also, something I would like you to tell me is if the MMX100 has good passive noise cancelling. I think you didn't mention, but I may have not heard you. Thanks.
Good review. I have the MMX 150's and they are left in their box for the exact reason that you have issue with...the comfort. They sound great but ouch!! Hopefully Beyerdynamic come out with different earpads for them at some stage. I would take them outta the box if that happens.
That sucks. I've had dozens of gaming headsets over the years but nothing compares to my DT 770 Pro's. I can wear these 12+ hours a day and I don't even notice them on my head. Perfect 10/10 for comfort.

im really looking forward to buy these 150s too but im scared that they destroy my ears and upper head because i have upwards long head
Stiff cord? Idk why but they all seem to use the same meterial
WHY like I get it’s durable but its rough and inflexible, right?
Strangely, the mic of the 100 sounds way better than the 150 to me
Bro its the same mic...
@@diablo_gm9862 but yhe sound card is different. It`s so obvious...
there's an internal DAC i've been told

i just glued the cable to the headphones with hotglue
Do you have a new headset now? And if yes, which ones?

Try the MMS 300

Is there any way to balance the sound coming from your friends (voices of playing partners) versus the game sound?

if you are on a windows PC you can press the windows button + G to edit the amount of volume each application is outputting. hopefully that helps
yes, there is, in the game setting
@@royye6373 yea or if you’re in party for instance you can go to party chat settings make it where you can hear other the game or game chat more
i have the mmx 150 which is really good and i like but it tangles alot and it dissconnects really easily
same issue im dealing with which is why im looking into wireless ones now.
Great review thanks!

How do they sound compared to the fidelio x3s for gaming?
good reviw but i get dizzy when you blur the video
Great review
still not sure if this is a software problem but my mic sounds terrible
Would these outperform the audio technica GDL3?
this helped me so much
Are there no replacement pads for this at all?
I've heard other places that the pads can be replaced pretty easily
@@alangregory5580 which are?
@@Jollysimp ehh
Please review ath gl3 & gdl3
Would you pick them over Hyper X could II ?
No, HyperX are way more comfortable
Excluding comfort how is these compare with hyper x for mobile fps gaming because I planning to buy mmx 150@@9to5toys
can you please review the gl3 or gdl3!
oooo make sure you're subscribed!!
@@9to5toys I am! I'll look forward to it! Not many good reviews out there, even a comparison to these would make for a god video both at $100

do they slip off? my artics seem to slip off a lot idk if it’s because the band?
also the 150s are compatible with the series x correct?
@@joseph-me5ei Only via 3.5mm. The cable is in the box.

Would the comfort be no problem for a person with a smaller head (teenager)
If u have a small head/small ears there would be less pressure between the headphones and your ears making it hurt less.
@@walterwhite6336 ok thanks
What's your microphone's name?
when i use the volume control on the headset nothing happens it doesn't get louder or softer please help #mmx100 :/
Bought the MX150, sorry but the sound quality is shitty. sounds like they wanted to filter out all bass and low mids.
the cord used on the 150 is so bad
How are they on ps5?
They’re legit
These headphones hurt my ears. It gets worst when you talk because you ears keeps rubbing the headphones not good headsets
They do not fit on big ears !!! On mine fits perfectly. This is the clearest sound you can get fpr 100 $ !!!!!
this makes them sound like my wired razor kraken are by far superior
people really have problem with the comfort? ive been wearing these for like 3 years no problems, you people must just be smaller than me or something
yeah comfort could be better
i would love to buy these but for me the problem is that it has leather
i'll just buy the 770 cups
Is it really the same or did you tweak it ?
comparing the mic tests to other reviews, yours is worst. maybe because of your specific voice or something with your desktop?
can u sell me the wight onw of the head phones my mom just passed away u sad u dont like tham so pleezz lmk sir
?
