Daaang the crowd was ON FIRE that fight, you know no matter what people just love rooting for the underdog, still you are a pretty incredible player in the game fr fr
this match was so good just off the VOD that i've rewatched it a few times but damn the backstory makes it that much sweeter! always assumed you just had tons of homies with you, that's awesome that even strangers were getting into it. cheering for the underdog is just a universal thing i guess lol
Not sure if you've talked about it or not already, but I would love to hear about how you and Lythero and Zyzx_ met, I watched a lot of marvel footage around the time youtube stuff for FGs started and I recall you guys kind of just appearing in the videos and recognizing names. You in particular really humanized nameless/faceless player tags in a way I had never experienced outside of a small local scene before and made me realize the community and social aspects of it are why I like the genre in the first place.
damn dude this is such an endearing comment, I think I'll do my best to do this and make it into a video! please be on the lookout for it because this is def your good idea lol (probably the next NEXT video)
Whenever videos like these get into my feed, I feel like I just barely missed the Marvel scene (as a spectator) at the time. Too late to see it live, just in time to see cool retellings about people cooking back in the day.
I'm sorry you missed it but hopefully some other games can bring the same joy that Marvel did for so many people, it's at least still played to this day!
I can't get enough of your gameplay. I can't even play Ace attorney without thinking of UVM3. It was such a power move putting My boy Phoenix in the game.
These videos are a throwback to the first videos that made me interested in fighting games. I still remember the commentators hyping up Wright so much. Good video!
I just played umvc3 for the first time ever doing some combo trials lol. Mentioning for no particular reason... But what I really wanna say is I fucking love these look back videos. I only got into fighting games in 2020 in my thirties, I'm happy to hear any and every story of exciting sets! Such great work, thanks for these!
Dude it was one thing to be part of marvel 3 and find out someone was paying high level with Phoenix Wright, but it was another entirely to learn that he was a Vegas boy! Such dope content. I really gotta involve with people more than just going to evo lmao
I can't imagine the nerves having a crowd that close to you, but props for staying strong there. Glad this seemed to be a positive turning point for you!
it's tough! I find it helps a lot if you can find your limit, and stop playing just before you pass it. Any experience you get while you're emotionally taxed is usually not worth it imo
@@IHeartJustice that's true, tho getting experience is tricky too. I remember playing umvc3 with some friends online. These were people that played in tournaments, meanwhile I was just someone using Lythero's team (PW, Dante, Joe) trying my best. Most times I lost, I knew I was the lesser player, but could never figure out why, which only made the anger problem worse
This is the game that got me interested in fighting games in the first place. Now I'm practicing combos in TFH. You and Cloud deserve so much more. Thank you.
This video was a dope story is there a memory you can think of that made you a legend in mvc3 or would you say when you beat f champ that got you up there and where do people play mvc3 on most if you know
nowadays people play on parsec! it's def a discord game where you join certain ones to get games but it's super worth it! and yea, the match with champ definitely solidified my place in the fgc
Vergil is lore accurate Dante just smoking and chilling Zero? yeah even in MMX6 this dude was bugged, sigma couldn't even touch the guy (Ensuizan bug), and don't get me started with dash saber cancel.. Meanwhile Phoenix: Y'all guilty, now look at my badge!
You're not crazy when it comes to Xbox Marvel 3 running faster. I did a deep dive a long while ago, and the Xbox version was the only one that would actually finish some animations and transitions faster than other consoles. If the Xbox was running well (not a lot happening on screen) it could run FASTER than intended. Inconsistently faster, but faster all the same. Sounds like a bad time, but considering that the alternative was the PS3 version, which struggled to even reach a steady framerate, it's not surprising at all that people preferred the 360 version for running smooth. All the Sony console versions of the game had frame sync enabled, as did the later re-releases, so there's a possibility that was related to it, since the 360 version did not run vsync.
@@IHeartJustice There was a player at my local back when the PS4 version came out who never stopped complaining about how the new version was 'total crap', and how his Berserker Charge combos were inconsistent now. It was that which tipped me off. Though he was a lot less receptive to "fam it's literally MORE consistent now, just delay your 1st attack" and instead I'd get an earful on how crap the game is now >...>
I always love the “NO JUSTICE!! NOT LIKE THIS!!” Cause it sounds like a line ripped straight off an anime
LMAO right!! such a wild momeent

dude it was a SENSATIONAL crowd, I was so blessed!
Strange: My presence wasn't needed.
Wong could have taken care of you
Also Strange: had a pixel of health left.
mans out here almost needing a multiverse iteration to help XD
Always hype when the underdog pulls victory from the jaws of defeat :D
I try my best!

it's a rich scene out here in vegas!

I honestly wish i could keep my cool, while playing fighting games. I just get salty way to fast, and have no clue how to just chill and focus

such kind words fam I really appreciate it! this game is so sick and I hope everyone gets a real chance to play it one day lol
I have been watching this video every year to motivate myself to keep playing umvc3

Amazing video man,got me wanting to play more now lol
that's the best thing I can hear nowadays! =D
this entire situation was probably more hype than evo moment 37, there is no arguing that statement
Bro it was a sight to behold, one of my bigger regrets was not having someone record that pop off lol
Lol I like how iHeart scratches his head like is actually Phoenix Wright lol
LOL don't even realize I do that!
