I got a nice instructor once, I even had to correct her when she thought I made a mistake. She's short so she could not see a couple pedestrians about to cross the street, i'm 6 feet so I saw them when she told me to go but I couldn't or I would've hit the lady and her son. lmao
Christopher Aguilar yup you’re lucky I have an old grumpy guy as my instructor but at the end he’s really nice I think he was just trying to see if I was gonna get nervous or not.
If people have anxiety, just watch the good driving performance and good mannered instructor in this video, which may give them hope that they can do it. Best wishes on those planning on getting their license in 2020 and forward. Take care. God Bless.
Oh that so cool you had her. Congratulations on passing your BTW. She was very friendly and patient too with me. the best instructor i must say coz she will make you feel comfy and in control.
You are allowed to go as slow as you like for reversing next to a curb, and you have far more control over the car if it is going slow, corrections are ten times easier to make while going slow, same goes for any reverse maneuvers really! I noticed the driver in the video did their curbside reversing pretty fast, probably why it took more than one attempt. As far as I'm aware, as long as you are close and straight, you can go nice and slow. That's what I did and I never got any comments on it!
Just passed my driving test! If you’re worried, don’t be. It’s a lot easier and quicker than you think! Good luck everyone and thank you for this video🤩
I’m taking mine in a couple hours I was super nervous but I’m a little more calm now I just really want it to be over with so I can stop stressing and finally drive
It's a bit calming watching this video. I suffer from anxiety and my nerves are really bad as I have to take my test in about 2 weeks! I hope I get a DMV tester like yours.
Hey y’all , I see most of the comments are years old . I’m taking me drivers test tomorrow at this dmv, I’m little nervous but I really appreciated this video because it calms my nerves😂 but I will up date this comment to what happens tomorrow Very curious if it’s “more easy “ since COVID started , that’s the rumor .... we shall find out Pray for me :)
Roseville was mean Ngl I failed over something stupid and no one in my time slot passed which was like 5 us ....but I took another test at Rocklin 10/10 recommend fast n easy and everyone is nice it’s a short route mostly Residential driving at least for mine , everyone passed who had the same time slot as me maybe cuz the dmvs are closing again but there’s always been rumors Rocklin’s easy so 🤷🏽♀️ Rocklin ftw
I am required to take behind the wheels test every two years...if you watch their video several hours, you end up mimicking them during your actual test...passing grade at the end. Viewing the video gives you self confidence and control of your driving. I highly recommend viewing several hours for a day for a week prior to your scheduled date. Good luck.
Hey, your amazing ! Glad there are many adult test takers out there besides myself. I guy with his family took his and passed. I only felt sick that day because the examiner was telling him to park parallel instead of right-in which I was mostly taught. But I passed! Cheers to being adults! :D
Yehey, congrats too for passing your driving test. Glad I wasn't asked to do parallel parking 😅 'Coz til now I am still learning to park right! Lol.. and yeah there were quite a few adult drivers taking their test that day i took mine, which helps a lot.
I'm happy to hear your story I'm older and I will be taking mines on July 28 and I'm going to be putting my driving school and test journey on here I'm happy I'm not the only one
Your welcome and good luck on your driving test! Glad I am able to give you at least one of the possible routes they may take you. I had the best instructor ever and hopefully you get her..i forgot her name. anyway, just stay calm (I know, easier said than done) and you'll be driving away with a flying collar!
all these videos help so much, i took mine today and passed with only two errors! I was super nervous which is why i made my two errors, and it took like no more than 12 min
Thank You for having this video out! Truly helped me! I think I got the same instructor as you because my instructor had the exact same voice as here and the way how she talked sounded so familiar as in this video. I am glad that I passed my test, my instructor was super friendly and didn't raise her voice on me at all. I had a slightly different route than the one in this video, but I was practicing parking on the exact same spot. The only mistake I had was that I was stopping when I had the right of way, but I also went through that uncontrolled left turn intersection, I had the right of way when it was green but I was worrying to go so that's a little mistake there, but I passed either way!
I'm sure you will ace your driving test. Just don't rely too much on your back up camera coz they won't allow it per my experience. You gotta use your rear view mirrors and look back when backing.
Wish you good luck Luis on your exam, just remember to practice deiving around possible routes they may take you to get familiarize with the flow of traffic too.
Mine is next Wednesday and I'm filled with anxiety I hope I pass and get an instructor who isn't nit picky. You're lucky you got someone who was nice not everyone is that nice and they can fail you for anything probably wouldn't even give 3 chances for backing into the curb.
You've got this. If you have been practicing driving you should do well. If not then it is only $7.00. I had a good examiner the 2nd time around and he yelled at me for being too close and still managed to pass. I took mine in Poway which is an easy DMV in san Diego area. It is all about confidence and being a good driver by scanning and looking. You can get up to 15 errors, so if you get 14 errors, you still can pass.
these were my mistakes you need to look above your shoulder when you're turning to the right even if your light is green and when turning to the right stay close to the sidewalk as much as you can and do not drive to slow but I passed 💜😍
Glad you passed your driving test! and yes that is a good pointer for others to know more about making turns. Always be on the look out for possible pedestrians or bicyclist who may be on the sidewalk. Be safe driving to places!
Makhlouf Bannoud thanks for the quick reply! I failed my first time last week because everytime I turned right, I never looked over my shoulder. my instructor said everything was great but that. today is my 2nd attempt and I'm 100% going to pass it thanks to you. he just said check your blind spot when turning which left me confused
Watched this just before my exam today! I took mine at Roseville too! I had a different route! :) but still, thanks for this vid :) I passed 🙏🏻😆 My instructor was really nice too!! :)
Congratulations Jimin! Sorry for late reply! Glad you took one here in Roseville, for most part instructors are pretty good and route weren't that bad to pass your driving test😉
Oh, glad it helped you coz i was on the same bought last time when I was searching online, some uploads weren't too helpful (actual drive test) so ithought do the favor with my own experience for others to learn from my own mistakes too.
This is from the CA dmv website: “If you fail the driving test, you must pay a retest fee, schedule a subsequent test, and wait 14 days (2 weeks), not including the day the test was failed before you are retested. If you fail the driving test 3 times, the application is no longer valid and you must reapply.”
I'm taking my test on April. And I just had a question. When turning right or left after a stop, can you move passed the stop line in order to see upcoming cars or will that be a point(s) deduction?
I hope you both passed your driving test. Thanks Azariyah for answering Mae. Yes you are correct, in making turns make sure to stop before the line then inch a little bit to see if road is clear for you to go or not, but be sure to keep an eye too of pedestrians, bicyclist and etc., they can pop out of nowhere. For my experience I it was a deduction coz I stop too short of the white line.
On solid white line, you are not legally adviced to cross to get to left lane/change lanes, once you're inside the wrong lane, stay committed and make a u-turn or change lane when possible after you have crossed/passed the signal.
Oh I’m sorry. I still hate that route on Pleasant grove coming/merging from Washington straight. Always so messy there when you get lucky and people are driving faster than posted speed .
I have a question on the lane changes. When you lane change to the right, you look at the rear view mirror, then the right side mirror but when someone says look over your shoulder, do you look over your right shoulder or your left shoulder. If it's your left shoulder could someone explain why
Hi Yasmine, Yes, definitely you have to look over your shoulder to the right if you want to change lane to the right; look over to the left if you want to change lane to the left. This is crucial so you can make sure to check your blind spots. Blind spots are those on the sides of your car where rear view and side view mirror cannot see/ or you cannot see. Do not drift to change lane even if you have put on your blinker, unless you are sure that it is safe to do so. Hope that make sense for you.
hi!! my test is in a week and it might even be raining so i’m really scared lol, any tips to help me better prepare for it? and does anyone know the test routes for roseville ca? :)
do we have to look over shoulders while making a lane change ?? I mean the speed would be high, is it safe to look back instead of using the left side mirror ??
Oh I hope I get to answer you in time... missed to check here again. With regard to your question, you definitely have to look over your shoulder when changing lanes to check on your blind spots. Do not just rely on your rear/sideview mirrors. Depending on your instructor or situation you were in if you don't look over your shoulder, you may fail your entire driving test. And you have to do it at all times not just on the day of your driving test with DMV. Glance only for a mere seconds to check blind spot and maintain speed when your already starting to merge to prevent being rear ended. But then of course practice best judgement when driving and when changing lanes, blinker on doesn't guarantee other drivers will give you the way. 😐
You will be fine for sure 😊 Haha i made it and you sure can. Just remember to chillax a bit and be alert the whole time. Scan, scan, scan the area and drive safely! Best of luck!
mikhay ocsap i didn't pass ): a lady sped right past me as i was about to change lanes & she almost hit me so that was a critical error. next appointment is june 5. 😭
Jaylah's Mommy i didn't see a woman come speeding behind when i was making a lane change & she almost hit me. was an automatic fail. congratulations! i really hope i get it this time cuz i just bought a new car 😭
Hi Jasmine, What I did with mine was one hand on the wheel and the other on the side of the passenger seat because it is hard to look over your shoulder while trying to see as your moving. Please be reminded that my instructor told me not to use the back up cam. So I had a warning the first time I did it and went all crooked.
Hi Cecilia, I maybe too late now to answer you or probably knew better now but anyway, it makes it easier for you to look out the back of you put your arms towards the back of the passenger front seat. For me that day the instructor had no issues how I do as long as I can do it right. They won't let you rely/glance on your back up camera though so you have to practice backing up the old ways. 😉Hope these help.
Your so lucky then because my instructor was kinda new to the job or something. I end up having an extra person with me and at the end she even ask the other instructor what should she write for comment.
In all honesty I wasn't really prepared fir that biker, luckily i trusted my instinct not to go further beyond the line. I was like shock and shaken thinking it could have been worse coz i was just too nervous then, we just got out of the dmv office. (It was crazy day)
I'm moving on the 5th and have no choice but to pass my test next tuesday otherwise I have to wait 6 months! I was wondering how much practice you got in before you took the test?
Hi there, Im sorry for my late reply.. just been hella busy mama.. 😅 Anyway, with all honesty, I got about two weeks of serious learning to drive prior to my test drive. I was like cramming but at the same time the same motivation like you, I have to do make it or else I would have to renew my license and prolong my agony. When I passed my test it was a relief, driving isnt too bad as long as you put your mind and concentration on your driving.
Mine is on 29th and what’s driving me crazy is in here MN we have to do parallel parking, reverse parking, uphill and down hill all that shit is literally terrifying me😫😫😫😫😫 wish me luck guys!!
You've got this. I hear Chris Lapakko has some videos on drive tests at Arden Hills and Eagan. I know those don't do up and down hill. Parallel parking is not that hard. Also check out the videos from Matthew Brenengen where his daughter does a fail at Arden Hills and a Pass at Eagan and that will give you an idea on how they do the test if you are taking it at an obstacle course like those test centers.
im sure you got your license now. wish they would do that here in CA too not to make it complicated and nerve-racking for first time drivers, but it will make a great impact on your driving skills and confidence once you get your driver license. There are just too many out there who does nt even know how to park their car right even on slanted parking slots!
It's always scary to make left turns in uncontrolled section coz we basically don't have the right of way. It all comes down to making sound decision if it is safe to go or not. When your on a T intersection, the cars on the through traffic has the right of way to go first in most cases. Unless safe for you to proceed to make the left turn. Most of the uncontrolled left I saw were in the residential areas. It would help clarify more on this if you watch the DMV videos posted here by DMV dept themselves. It tackles all possible concerns for learning to drive or for new drivers.
GoShiShi on an unprotected left turn you don't have the right of way so you have to yield to incoming traffic, the light might be green but you can't go because people opposite to you will either be going straight or turning to their right (your left) you have to inch out little by little into the intersection until it's safe to go and once the coast is clear (all cars are done going) you may proceed.
I think all driving tests in California should be taken in Los Angeles. At Rush Hour. With a time limit lane change on the 405 in bumper to bumper traffic. THAT is a test.
Oh, I'm pretty sure you both will do just fine. As long as you stay calm (I know it's easier than done), you will have a better control of the car/situation within couple minutes after leaving the DMV office with the instructor. Just remember the speed limit in each possible zones you may be asked to drive, school, commercial, regular road etc. and one thing, apply gentle pressure on breaks so you won't jolt or whiplash your instructor from her seat ☺️
CubeSat oh I’m sure it is nerve racking but once you start your engine you’ll feel the adrenaline rush. Just don’t forget to breathe. I hope so you’ll get her as your instructor. She makes you feel calmer. Good luck! You can do it!
Hey! If you get this in the next week please respond! Can you let me know if you went on a. Similar route? Or did they make you go through down town Roseville?? I’m so nervous, I have my test in 6 days at the same spot! Please respond if you see it!
CubeSat it went really well. It was only 12 minutes. We drove for about 3 miles. The tester was okay, she didn’t speak much, and it was so much easier compared to Rocklin! I passed!
Thank you and hopefully you've learned from my mistakes and remember tips provided. Best of luck on uour drive test, I'm sure you will do just fine and will pass the test! 😉
Amin Akhmadi you most definitely turn around and face the back. When reversing or backing up you put your hand on the passenger seat, turn your head over your shoulder and lightly let off the gas. You will alter between looking over your shoulder and in your right side mirror to make sure you don't hit a curb.
Im sorry to know, didn't get to check sooner here for questions but anyhow, i do hope you will pass next time. Do not rely on your mirror neither your back up camera esp during test. Back up cam sometimes does not recognize bystanders who may be walking your way when backing.. always look behind you use both rear view mirrors but still look back from behind for precautions.
It's up here in NorCal...I'm pretty sure you will be just fine, sounds like youre in a busier area and that will be perfect to instantly learn and build your confidence driving through traffic.
mikhay ocsap yeah I've been practicing since april on and off but for the past 2 weeks ive been driving almost everyday LA has really bad traffic i got used to it i just really hope i pass the test the first time your video helps a lot
hey guys ...If.any body is having guelf road test video...please share..I failed in 1st attempt....my test is on 3 April now...please if any body is having guelf area of road test
How did your driving test go on April 3? Hope you did pass your test. If I am not mistaken you are allowed to take 3 driving test without additional fee, right? But I'm pretty sure you did ace your test! ;)
Bro this driving test is taking place in the USA, search for the test in whatever gulf country you're looking for. The laws are different there. I'm sure you find some if you search for it. Eg: "driving test Dubai"
Hi Xiomayrie, You still have enough days to practice and build more on your confidence driving. Know your DMV location and try to drive possible routes they may take you, usually they will let you drive through different zones that maybe is around the area. Again, they are there to help you learn and pass your driving test, just don't forget to breath once you get behind the wheels.
this is the nicest instructor ever lol dont expect every instructor to be this nice
yes, not everyone was lucky on that day I took my driving test...
I got a nice instructor once, I even had to correct her when she thought I made a mistake. She's short so she could not see a couple pedestrians about to cross the street, i'm 6 feet so I saw them when she told me to go but I couldn't or I would've hit the lady and her son. lmao

If people have anxiety, just watch the good driving performance and good mannered instructor in this video, which may give them hope that they can do it. Best wishes on those planning on getting their license in 2020 and forward. Take care. God Bless.
I had this exact instructor and I passed first try. She is so nice and calm. Good luck to everyone else taking their test!
Oh that so cool you had her. Congratulations on passing your BTW. She was very friendly and patient too with me. the best instructor i must say coz she will make you feel comfy and in control.
Did she take you on the same route as in the video ?? I’m taking mine in Roseville here too! So so scared

idk why i still watch these kind of videos lol. i already have my license
Lol, I don’t blame you. I still do watch other videos just to see how others do it.

Thank you
so nice instructer omg i wish i had nice insture like this i would pass one try can you tell where is this dmv
Must be too late to reply now but anyway, this was at Roseville CA DMV
I hope I get an instructor like yours
Ugh im nervous and thats cause my test in 4 days lol its on monday the 22nd
Update: I passed my drivers test im so happy
Congrats on passing your driving test! Have fun but be safe driving to places!
mikhay ocsap thank you very much, hard to believe its going on 2 months since I've got it lol time go so quick it feels i barely got it yesterday lol
You got very lucky. I took a test there I had to get on Pleasant Grove Blvd from a curb of 10mph.
Hi Yasmine,
Yes, definitely you have to look over your shoulder to the right if you want to change lane to the right; look over to the left if you want to change lane to the left. This is crucial so you can make sure to check your blind spots. Blind spots are those on the sides of your car where rear view and side view mirror cannot see/ or you cannot see. Do not drift to change lane even if you have put on your blinker, unless you are sure that it is safe to do so. Hope that make sense for you.
i take my test tomorrow and i’m so nervous!!!
How did you do with your driving test Meghan? I hope you ace the test! Be safe driving to places!
hi!! my test is in a week and it might even be raining so i’m really scared lol, any tips to help me better prepare for it? and does anyone know the test routes for roseville ca? :)
Mines on Tuesday hopefully I pass 🙏
Hope you did pass your driving test... have fun driving and be a safe driver!
do we have to look over shoulders while making a lane change ??
i have mine tomorrow at 2 & im nervous but this video is making me feel more confident 😄
Jaylah's Mommy i did not. i have my next try on the 26th tho so hopefully i do pass this time 😅
Jaylah's Mommy i didn't see a woman come speeding behind when i was making a lane change & she almost hit me. was an automatic fail. congratulations! i really hope i get it this time cuz i just bought a new car 😭
Jaylah's Mommy thank you so much 😊💕
Are you supposed to have both hands on the wheel when backing up in a straight line or one hand on the wheel and the other on the passenger seat?
Hi Jasmine,
What I did with mine was one hand on the wheel and the other on the side of the passenger seat because it is hard to look over your shoulder while trying to see as your moving. Please be reminded that my instructor told me not to use the back up cam. So I had a warning the first time I did it and went all crooked.
Hey I have a quick question. When you pulled over and had to back up, did you had both hands on your steering wheel? Or one hand at the neigbour seat?
Hi Cecilia,
I maybe too late now to answer you or probably knew better now but anyway, it makes it easier for you to look out the back of you put your arms towards the back of the passenger front seat.
Oh no, that sure sucks! How did it go for you then? Hope you passed. 😬
At 5:00 did you check over your shoulder to see if there were any bikers coming in the bike lane?
In all honesty I wasn't really prepared fir that biker, luckily i trusted my instinct not to go further beyond the line. I was like shock and shaken thinking it could have been worse coz i was just too nervous then, we just got out of the dmv office. (It was crazy day)
How much did you go when going thru the bridge and before?
Test tomorrow wish me luck
How was the experience? I Hope your test drive went well and be safe driving to places!
I'm moving on the 5th and have no choice but to pass my test next tuesday otherwise I have to wait 6 months! I was wondering how much practice you got in before you took the test?
Hi there,
Im sorry for my late reply.. just been hella busy mama..
Where did u take your behind the wheels test ? U did amazing and your instructer was angel 😇
Oh thank you 😊. I took my test at Roseville, Ca. I was really thankful my instructor was super nice and friendly.
I wish my instructor is this nice tomorrow lol
How did it go for you? I hope you got your driver's license now... good luck!
Is this Roseville dmv?
So many jump cuts, why?
MINES WEDNESDAY IM HERE AGAIN JUST FOR INCASE
I'm confused on the uncontrolled left turn. Can someone explain that to me and let me know when you can go or not?
RynnxBeauty How would I know if its an unprotected left turn lane or a regular light?
mikhay ocsap thank you
I think all driving tests in California should be taken in Los Angeles. At Rush Hour. With a time limit lane change on the 405 in bumper to bumper traffic. THAT is a test.
buba426 fuck no
Mine is on July 14th 😩
Michael Sketel mines July 18th, good luck
Oh, I'm pretty sure you both will do just fine. As long as you stay calm (I know it's easier than done), you will have a better control of the car/situation within couple minutes after leaving the DMV office with the instructor. Just remember the speed limit in each possible zones you may be asked to drive, school, commercial, regular road etc. and one thing, apply gentle pressure on breaks so you won't jolt or whiplash your instructor from her seat ☺️
mikhay ocsap thank you
mikhay ocsap thanks! I'm mostly worried about backing into a parking spot.
Today's the day!
I better have this nice of an instructor when learning to drive
I hope you too will get a good instructor for your driving test! You can do it! ☺️
Is it Rocklin DMV ?
Which city is this?
This was in Roseville CA.
Is there Roseville?
Mine is tomorrow and I’m so nervous I can’t sleep and I’m up watching these types of videos 😂
Update: I failed it
Jackie Hernandez oh no!:( What went wrong? You’ll get it eventually, don’t worry!
Going to be taking my drivers test next week at this exactly DMV. I hope I get her. Very nervous 😩
CubeSat oh I’m sure it is nerve racking but once you start your engine you’ll feel the adrenaline rush. Just don’t forget to breathe. I hope so you’ll get her as your instructor. She makes you feel calmer. Good luck! You can do it!
mikhay ocsap Thankyou!
Hey! If you get this in the next week please respond! Can you let me know if you went on a. Similar route? Or did they make you go through down town Roseville?? I’m so nervous, I have my test in 6 days at the same spot! Please respond if you see it!
Amanda Nelson hey! i’m taking mine soon in roseville too lol and was wondering how yours went?
CubeSat it went really well. It was only 12 minutes. We drove for about 3 miles. The tester was okay, she didn’t speak much, and it was so much easier compared to Rocklin! I passed!
can anyone post Carmichael Sacramento route please.
This is the same place I’m taking my driving test
is the route always going to be the same?
I like this video hopefully I pass my exam next week Friday by 10am
Thank you and hopefully you've learned from my mistakes and remember tips provided. Best of luck on uour drive test, I'm sure you will do just fine and will pass the test! 😉
When backing up do you look in the back mirror or you turn around and watch?
you look at yourback mirror
Amin Akhmadi you most definitely turn around and face the back. When reversing or backing up you put your hand on the passenger seat, turn your head over your shoulder and lightly let off the gas. You will alter between looking over your shoulder and in your right side mirror to make sure you don't hit a curb.
+RynnxBeauty Thank you, I figured that out, after I failed, so dont worry about it and thank you) Will do better next time.
I'm taking my test with a manual transmisson
Awesome!
Why is the video black and white?
do you had to look back the whole time when u was backing up
Yes, before you start backing up you look on all your mirrors then when safe start backing up.
Mine is this Thursday and I am so nervous.
How did your driving test go? I hope you nailed it!
mikhay ocsap yup I passed
Which dmv was this at? Im taking mine on monday at the hollywood dmv 😩

Is this in Rancho Cucamonga?
hi, sorry for the late reply. No this was at NorCal Area close to Sacramento. :)
My test is tomorrow! At Roseville! Wish me luck! Hope I get this instructor lol
I hope you passed! Did you take a different route, or was it the same route as in this video?
which dmv is this? west covina?
Thank you for sharing this video. it was a big help! ☺
😊 happy to know it helped you ace your driving test!
Mine is on Tuesday I'm very nervous
Hi Xiomayrie, You still have enough days to practice and build more on your confidence driving. Know your DMV location and try to drive possible routes they may take you, usually they will let you drive through different zones that maybe is around the area. Again, they are there to help you learn and pass your driving test, just don't forget to breath once you get behind the wheels.
Unless your DMV is a one way in, one way out kind of deal like mine.
