@@blujay1608 I missed that too! Thanks for the time stamp! The defendant thinks that leasing a car is the same as leasing an apartment....and being a cashier is the same as being a manager 🤣
I love how so many people seem to think that when the car they bought breaks down then all of a sudden the loan they took to buy it doesn't have to be repaid. It's not a rental, you bought it. What happens after you bought it doesn't change the fact that you bought it and need to pay for it!
LEASING is not RENTING. When you rent a car then you are not responsible for engine repairs. When you lease a car then you are responsible for engine repairs UNLESS it comes with or you purchased a warranty.
she forgot she was leasing the car, not the house. She assumed the leaser was a landlord. She has a few screws loose on that part. And she agreed to keep the leased car on good condition, and she refused to get the car repaired. What a loser. And even at the end, she still did not understand her lease and what she was to do as a leasee.
Car leases are typically different than home leases. When you lease a car, you are agreeing to make monthly payments on a vehicle for a set period. During that time, the car is yours to use as you please. You’re also responsible for taking care of all the necessary maintenance and repairs. This means that if something goes wrong with the car, you’re the one who has to foot the bill. This also includes repair of wear and tear. Of course, there are some exceptions, depending on the contract.
Closing in on 40 and just now learned, on tv in front of millions of people I might add, that if a used car craps out a few months after you purchased it, you’re on your own. How did this woman survive into her 30s?
Here’s a hint , she stated car is parked at her mother’s house, and most likely that is where she lives as well... 37 has a job as a cashier, She lives at her mother’s house !
@22161 you didn't sign a contract to lease a car either, and I'm sure that if you did, you would sensibly get information/facts before trying to sue the leaser, correct?!!
‘You sure would cookie’, love ❤️ JJ. The defendant is an idiot. Who doesn’t know that if a car breaks down while paying on it you still owe. What a goober 😂.
The nerve of that defendant! The engine went out while the car was in her possession. Once you drive a car off the lot, the car is yours, despite that you are still making payments on it. The plaintiff shouldn't be responsible for the repairs. Also, the contract states that the defendant is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is kept in good condition. Whether she is at fault or not for engine problems is irrelevant. The car was in her possession, therefore, it's her responsibility to get the car fixed and pay the plaintiff according to the deal that was made.
We sold our home. 5 months later we get a letter saying they broke the tub and needed it repaired or she was going to sue us 😂😂I said I’m not your landlord lady, that’s your tub and you need to fix it. That was 3 years ago and I’m guessing she discovered she can’t sue previous owners.
I know for a fact that just because you drive a car off the lot doesn’t automatically mean you can’t return it and get your money back because I have done it. As JJ mentioned an exception is if the vehicle is a lemon. I bought a car, returned it within a few days because of mechanical problems and got my money back. It’s called Lemon Laws.
She didn't notice the oil leaks or oil light? It was a used car. Expect things are going to be worn and keep up with car maintenance. 100% her responsibility

I can't believe this is real? If you buy or lease a car you're responsible for it even if its goes kaput the next day, the only exception is if there's a warranty or your state has a lemon law and most lemon laws only apply to new cars.
