90% of the people that say this car is ruined arent even racing competitively let alone even utilizing the performance of their so called "racecar". Im more into function generally and take my car up to compete in events yet i can still appreciate this car for what it is and the artstyle. Its sick asf and if i had a car that i knew i was just going to drive normally id consider going full on form and doing something similar

nah it wont, the new brz fa24 engine is way more responsive and fun compared to the last gens brz fa20, not only that but they have solved a lot of the previous gen brz's problems. overall its more of a facelift that fixes all the previous gen's flaws and while giving it a newer look. altho the look might not be for everyone, it makes up for it's performance
@@orlmont Cons: -Digital dash -throttle by wire, brake by wire even -weight has increased noticably, I suspect the gutted weight is not as magical as before either -ugly as fuck body woes Even if the car has a bump in torque (probably not noticable vs a chip tune 1st gen), the cheaper, better documented, much much prettier BRZ will stay in our hearts and minds, which means in 20 years time people will buy it over the prius-looking 2nd gen.

It cared about 1 thing: chassis perfection. The new car now cares about everything else due to its increase in popularity, which is why the price had increased all those years ago and the spirit of the car might be forgotten.
