Exactly! You have to study and learn about your area. In my area when I'm realistic I can make up to $100-$125 in a day. That's if you work up to 8 hours and working breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm just being realistic with myself. If I make $25 for breakfast, $25 for lunch, and $25 for dinner. I'm good. I only do this part time. You can't depend on this full time. In my area I can't pay all of my bills with Doordash and even multip apping it's not realistic for me. I don't feel like stressing over going from app to app. That's just me. I refuse to let gig work drive me crazy.

Monday i pulled 192 12hrs of being out there between uber and DD...Last winter I did way better... But my whole hypothesis is that this isnt worth it fulltime!! I constantly have to worry about what Im going go owe in taxes at the end of the yr hence why I am seriosly thinking of going back to a w2!!!
These DoorDash UA-cam influencers who claim you can make $35/hour are recruiters who make their money from selling false promises. You will *never* average even minimum wage when you take into consideration gas, repairs, mileage, and wait time between orders.

There is also a matter if there is two different ways to look at hourly rates, Net hours , which is calculated per trip ( actual time) or gross (doordash "dash time") .
I just did $400 on Wednesday almost $30/hr.
The closer I get to 400 deliveries/mo almost the better it gets with high acceptance. I float 75-85% daily
I’m not a recruiter and I make 35-55 dollars consistently. Again this is my market in a more richly market so while I make what I make the next one won’t and I’m not some recruiter and I don’t promise anyone anything I make my money purely off my ratings being the highest they can be and my pay per mile is like 3-8 bucks…I can easily crack $1200-1500 a week if it’s all I was doing

My daily goal is $50 and even THAT is getting harder to come by.

I'm very new I'm Uber eats. Just got home and my head is spinning cause I accept every single order ! Even if it's $3 bucks. I do UberEats in Bakersfield Ca. Any suggestions? I do have a regular job but I just do this 2 days out of the week. So not much

Yeah, I really believe some people just flat out lie about how much money they make per hour on DoorDash or any gig app. $35 an hour regularly for all your hours work is pretty much impossible for anyone I don’t care what area you’re in, even if you are top Dasher or platinum Dasher. people just fund their fudge their numbers to sound like they’re making more
Even multi-apping probably impossible to make more than $30 an hour. Having your own business beats doordash any day of the effing week.
The only time I ever got close to that was during a power outage (or, really, "public safety power shutoff") in November 2021 during intense Santa Ana Winds. I've never gotten anywhere near that level of hourly pay since.
There's a lot of people who let other people use their account and then they take a cut of the pay. That's how some people are making a couple thousand a week, different people using the same account 24/7.

On more than one occasion I've had deliveries with a different car and person than was shown on the app. Someone else in another video's comments said people advertise on Craigslist to use their account and they keep a percentage. DoorDash and UberEats don't care as long as they are getting their fees.

I have learned that. My area is horrible. I make $8-10 an hour. I do this full time because of health issues.
I’m the same I can’t work a regular FT job anymore because of my Health and so I turned to gig , barely make $10 an hour most days less than that the people in my area don’t like to tip at all and the base pay is trash as well it’s a struggle to make just $50 a day doing DoorDash

Here in the south suburbs of Chicago (Chicago Heights, Homewood IL), despite having DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats, I am lucky if I make $10-15 an hour even multi-apping. The gas prices are making it to where your first 1-2 hours are only paying for the gas you are using. My tips have never exceeded what they pay me per delivery, which is next to nothing. I have not even been doing it lately, it is a waste of time and just refueling is using up my first 1-3 hours!

Come out by me and try even making $100 a night working 7-8 hours. Especially the blanket statement, "so are a lot of people". Sure. No, they are not. Maybe in magical places like yours I guess, but a lot of people are leaving the apps for good reasons.
DD is hardly ever even available by me, but if you are doing what you say, you must be in a wealthy, generous zone where there is hardly any other Dashers!

Last time i was even close to making that much was during covid when everybody was locked down imprisoned at home. $35 hr isn't realistic nowdays. With so many people laid-off doing gig work and migrants with multiple accts with many phones. $140 for 4 hrs lunch time and 8 hr. combined is $280. 40hrs. week for 5 days is $1400 × 4 = $5600 a month.
Doordash doesn’t want cherry pickers . They can’t fire you . But they don’t have to send orders. My son had to choke down some not so great orders just do he could schedule

The "migrant" situation had screw the gig economy up for us and the app companies know that they dont know any better and will accept all low ball orders that American citizens won't..
Hey Sara, I am in a midsized market and I can verify your earnings per hour. Even under best of circumstances, There is a hard limit to how many runs one can do an hour. If one gets lucky, one can do two trips an hour. According to Solo, my average gross per hour income of 14 an hour.. somone MIGHT get really lucky (or live in California or NYC) . If one hits a perfect storm of conditions one MIGHT hit $35 an hour for a couple of hours

Every person’s experience is what they make it. Just like you said. My availability is limited but I do try to drive everyday. I don’t hesitate to log off. I care for other people and try to stay close yo home. Hit or miss ✌🏻
Imo - the algorithm will only send you enough orders that will average around $20-$25 at the end of the hour . That’s my average - if I take decent orders and really good ones .
It averages out . And I’ve been top dasher - and now platinum . You get a mix of bad , decent , and great . But never all great or all bad etc . And it does depend on your locations etc .
It depends on your area and what the ratio is for that market , in my market it’s $10 and hour and people don’t like to tip so of course the pay is crap and it’s a struggle to even make $50 in an entire day . I see tons of $2,3,4,5orders all day long hardly any $6or $7 orders and even stack orders suck like 2 orders to deliver for $8
It's definitely area and acceptance. Unfortunately, we have to take some garbage to get some good. I USUALLY average 25$ to 30$. I keep my AR above 70, but again you have to eat some shit. I run 4 apps, its a game !!!!
Some UA-camrs will just straight up lie. You are one that I trust though. I've watched a lot of your videos and you are the real deal. There are times you can make $35 but that is the exception, not the norm. Anyone thinking about trying this needs to be aware of that.
My downtown area has a lot of rich people but downtown area has no parking or street parking but when I do go thru there its back to back orders to like mansions. I'd do it more if I either had someone drop me off at restaurant and then drive around to pick me up or if there was better parking but if I exclusively did that zone I could see me doing close to $30 I made $20 once dleivering chicken nuggets to these kids in a giant house.
In my market (Victorville, apple valley, ca. area) it seems like having silver tier gets you an average of 15 and hour, gold 20, and platinum 25, still all dependant on time of day etc. It's kind of like getting a raise from 1 tier to the next. I still see low dollar offers but usually filler to get me that few dollars that make up my 25 on the hour. Ex: I might get an order for 5.00 for 1-2 miles promptly followed by a 17.00 for 4-8 miles then end it with a 3.00 for 1-2 miles. I stay busy hour on hour vs my wife at silver who ends up waiting long times between picking up a pizza order here or there, always averaging about 13-15 an hour. Hope this helps. Side note, during weekends and busier times of the day platinum can be a God send. (Still every market is different)
Okay, I make roughly 32$ an hour in LA. Yesterday I had a 65$ order for 10 miles lasting me 35 mins. I have to drive 2 hours in the morning to get to the city. Up at 3am and out the door to hit the breakfast rush. If you want something you’ll find a way to make it happen. Just saying. Good luck tho.

Hi Sara you got to keep in mind he will be new after signing up so he may be getting better offers and maybe even some incentives. You've been doing for a long time. And when somebody is new in first signs out the offer seem to be much better.

I wouldn't trust that person that said that on UA-cam. You CAN'T believe everything you HEAR on the internet. I try to keep it low miles too. I try my best not to leave the city even.
For the sound issue: by default, the uber eats driver app sets the notification setting to always maximum
to remedy this: [in the uber eats driver app] - settings > account > app settings > sound and voice > trip alert volume: set to adjust with phone

I have people in my area with shit ratings tell me ratings don't matter then see me leaving with $600 of Chipotle with 80% acceptance and they are stuck waiting for a bag. If I owned the company I'd punish bottom dashers and reward top as well. You could get up to 70% in about a week.
Not every market is the same NumNut Dummy , your most likely working in a good market where the people tip well that’s why you don’t decline as much were as most people are in crappy areas where people don’t tip well if at all

I really enjoy watching how people do there dashing. But then I tried to follow what they do. It really messed me up on making money. My zone is different. I don't remember how I used to do it making better then I am now. I am full time. 9 am tell about 3 pm.
I only do DD as a very partime job…. The most I make is 14-16 dollars an hour and I stay between 20-30% AR….. Sometimes I get really good orders…… but I am not taking 2-3$ for shit orders just to get my AR up……
