Very interesting and educating! Unless one's parent is sick/homeless, ( or you are sick/nursing nd they are there to help) There's no reason why your parent/inlaw should live with you. The movie is interesting, debatable and engaging. The mother in law is right to protect her daughter based on her understanding of events - after realizing steps her daughter took to alleviate the circumstances of the husband - and knowing that men can change once they are financially independent - so protecting her daughter is paramount. The daughter is right to trust the advice of her mother despite her concern that her mother could be wrong and be misleading her. in addition, The husband has done well to follow the advice of the priest by being patient with his wife. However, the key question is that is there no other way to overcome poverty than rituals?
