It would be a great idea for you to make a video on fish species from North America and elsewhere that escaped here via the aquarium trade, I know that this is the case for the goldfish (most obviously) and the bitterling.
Interesting. An overall profile does not look like a typical predator, although in the frontal view it bits looks like a piranya with less formidable teeth in the jaw.
I really wanted one to keep in an aquarium because they are pretty and coldwater but couldn't find one to buy because they are illegal to sell as pets due to being potentially invasive. But I suppose I could legally catch one that has already invaded and put it in a tank ...?
as far as the law is concersioned once you have a non native species in the hand its illegal to release so its either a case of killing it or keeping it so if you caught one you could keep it. its a weird one with fish as few if any anglers would kill a catfish, zander or even carp in the UK but technically they are breaking the law putting it back though I'v never known of anyone being prosecuted for it.

@@Chasingscalesspecieshunt maybe I could set up an invasive species biotope
I kept one I caught in a tank for a few years. Buford was a great fish
This invasive piece of shit is the easiest fish to catch. I can catch 1 every 10 seconds.
