I'm working at learning the entire neck in the E Minor Pentatonic scale. Once I know all the shapes in E, then I can do any of them. I actually know all the shapes but now I'm working at moving randomly from one end of the neck. Also connecting the shapes with lead riffs. I totally agree that the best way to do this is by playing improv solos. That's what I want to be doing in the end anyway. Thanks for the tip. I'll work on this.
