I got a Maltese a day before lockdowns were imposed here in the Philippines. I named him Dash. Dash is such a great baby, so sweet and smart. He made quarantine life fun and exciting. He’s 1 year old now, and although I want to travel with him, it’s impossible at the moment. I wish to take him to the beach one day. I wished I started a UA-cam channel when I got him. Dogs are such a blessing to us humans.

Xanti is so beautiful and has so much personality! It’s obvious he’s not a nervous puppy! My two Maltese both died of Cushings Disease, both at age 9. My heart swells just watching Xanti, he reminds me so much of both of my babies. I love Xanti🥰😘💗💕💞
Oh my Maltese died of Cushing Disease in 02. April 2021☹️He was 14 yr. We miss him so much 😒🌈
As I hug my White Morkie, these dogs are the most adorable dogs EVER. If I ever get another dog, it will definitely be a full blooded Maltese! Talk about smart. One of the plugs in the living room shorted out and made a small fire. I was in the bathroom. Dixie tried to wake up my son and his wife who were sleeping in his room of the danger. Instead of coming to me, who was wide awake. She chose to try to save the sleeping occupants.
I love that dog 🥰.
BTW, the small fire immediately when out after the wire completely shorted itself out. All was safe.
So beautiful, truly words can't describe how gorgeous they really are. My little Jellybean is 4 and exactly like your fur baby. The only thing Miss Jellybean is a real little Miss, hates to put her paws in water, haha.

I just got a Maltese Shih Tzu mix today. I was going to adopt an older dog but since this puppy was offered today by my realtor I couldn't turn him down. I'm a cancer survivor fighting two primary cancers squamous cell carcinoma that spread to my bones and endometrial cancer I wanted a dog since I'm home all the time. I'm free to get dog since my chemo has been over a year and my radiation I don't have to worry about harming my puppy. I can't even wait until tomorrow when I get to meet him and bring him home. He will get short walks on the beach. I'm slowly getting my strength back from being in the bed and wheelchair for so long. I think it will be the perfect gift for us both. I'll be home all the time to train him with sweet kisses and hugs only. Then have me a cuddle buddy to help with the depression from being home all the time.

We also do have a maltese puppy and he is not our first one. Our dog gets only mineral water from the bottle ( of course not sparkling!), and since we don't give him tap water, we don't have any problems with his eyes

Maltese have such joyful personalities. I just lost the my little boy Macke on July 15. He was 10 years old and incredibly brave. He fought cancer for 2 months before we said goodbye. He is missed so much each day❤️.
My sister just got an adorable female Maltese puppy and the the dog has been sick and in the hospital and now they are telling us that she is a diabetic and she has to wear a little machine on her tio monitor her blood sugar. It is going to be very expensive, Anybody got any advice on How to take care of a Diabetic Maltese cheaply. I can't believe they sold us a sick puppy, and we love her dearly.

My Maltese is all of the above except for liking to cuddle. She is so nonchalant, like her mom....me lol Our personalities are so similar is super funny. She will cuddle when she wants something or sees you aren't feeling well. Thats the only time. She likes her space 😊

Thank you to Joseph Vella and Xanti's parents for bringing up the differences in the Maltese breed. I have pretty much settled on getting a Maltese after researching several small dog breeds. It's good to know what to look for, thank you both! I'm new to Xanti's channel today, stumbled upon it and love it. Xanti is a wonderful little pup with the most beautiful, bright, BIG dark soulful eyes. (Of course most dogs have soulful eyes to me). Reminds me of a little white baby seal, white with big ol' dark eyes.
7. Brave? My maltese dog was afraid of rain, thunder, umbrellas, vacuum cleaners, his own shadow, fireworks, vets....
8. Healthy? Mine had problems with rear legs, and he died from pancreatic tumor at age 10.
10. Always calm? Yea right, just try ringing the doorbell or telling him he is going for a walk, or if an unknown person comes to the house.

Agreed!! My Maltese has anxiety, and shaking terribly when he ride in the car. They also shed a lot too.

I love my fur baby he's great company, and he doesn't mind going in the rain, or snow to do his business. So smart and loving, is a great watch dog. He loves to plays with his toys. My best friend!!!
We keep our Maltese at a puppy cut because they just look so dang cute with it. And of course it's easier to manage.

I would be careful letting your Maltese run by himself in the wild. My GF was holding our Maltese in the passenger seat driving with the windows down when a hawk was flying next to her window apparently eying the Maltese.
Secondly while on a outdoor trail my brothers small dog was grabbed on the back of the neck by a hawk and it lifted the dog but dropped it as it was too heavy. His Lhasa Apso was 14 lbs and our Maltese only 6lbs.
Hi Paul, thanks for your worries 🤗 🤗 🤗 We are being as careful as possible, but fortunately in Prague we do not have any hawks etc. Even in the Czech countryside there are basically no harmful animals. But once we go to a wilder place, we will keep that in mind. 🥰

King of growers : I live in Southwest Florida south of Sarasota & I am very interested in getting a teacup Maltese as I lost mine a few months ago . I know I could never replace her she was the best dog in the whole world. But I really think it’s time for me to get another one. Please if you could help me where to look I would so appreciate it. I know that tea cups are very very hard to find so anyway you could help would be very appreciated thank you.
@@sunnydaze2359 Hi , I am not currently aware of much. A Maltese rescue may be a great beginning. Adopt . They feel loss as we do , so going that route could be a blessing for a Maltese in need ! My wife was doing " home checks " for Manhattan Metropolitan Maltese , I believe back a decade or so ago. I will ask her too. These little people are a blessing to us ... Good Luck. I will pass along any info I may find.

How do you keep your pup stain free? I tried almost all the tear stain cleaning products in the market, cleaned everyday, changed to other diet, it got a little better, but not stain free like your cutie pup.
Hii Cynthia. It may be caused by the drinking water as I've heard. We do not do much special. Just clean his eyes daily and cut the hair around them. 🤗🐶 Hopefully your puppy will get rid of it soon ☺️

So cute! So like my shih tzu who just passed after 15yrs. I got her at 7wks. You can also check shelters. If you are lucky you might find a pure bred. I don't care about that tho. My shih tzu was an expensive(for me) pure bred. I did not finish with the registration papers as I had her spayed asap. There is a little Maltese at our Humane Society. I'm hoping. She is black and white just like my girl was. I'd just like a small healthy fairly young dog. Almost don't care about breed now. I'm missing my girl so much. I just went out off the hospital and got a maltese puppy from my parents as my service dog. He was only a few months old and had been sleeping with me since the first day we meet.
He's very playful, sometimes got angwy when he didn't get any snacks 😅 and he's a FURBALL!!!

I named my maltese dog as Romeo. pees in installment all corners of the house marking his territory. no matter how much time i leave him outside, he still pees inside the house.
Even if he gets balls cut off he’ll continue to mark, testi needs removed before he ever marks

We have two Maltipoos (brother and sister) and they share personalities with this dog, and at six years old, still act like this.

I had a Maltese for 13 years. He was hardly the dog you are showing. He was always sweet to me for many years and suddenly started to nip hard and actually bite me. He was also very loud with his barking. My question is: did you spend many hours and days training your Maltese or are most the same as your dog? Thank you.
Hii Pat, well we try to teach Xanti every time we have the chance. We also stay with Xanti 24/7 so that helps a lot. In general Maltese should show this kind of behavior. But of course it can also depend on genetics and how was he raised when still with the breeder. ❤️

A top bred show level Maltese runs @ $10,000 here in the US. Every time I see Xanti run loose, l just hope there aren’t any predators in that area- or big dogs around. It looked like he was getting bullied by that other dog.
Hello Tom, thank you ☺️ We always try make sure not to have big dogs around. Xanti was fine, when he did not even want to come back to his mum 😁 Which he normally does when unhappy or tired 🐶
I have a beautiful Maltese boy, now almost two years old. He is slightly larger than I expected he would be, 10" tall and fairly long in the back: is this the case for some Maltese? He is affectionate, caring, always concerned how you feel, placid, low energy, a home lover. Not all Maltese have long hair some have short hair that is easier to groom

I found out via friend of mine that my husband wants to get me a Maltese for my birthday. I'm always making him look at Xanti. If he does get me one it better look like Xanti. I want a female so I can get his nail painted and bows in her hair... I love xanti he is so Beautiful
