I actually really like her performance here - it's not perfect of course, but i always imagined it as a song sung by a kid!! So those notes that go a little off just add to the charm :)

What you are doing is called projection, you yourself consider yourself a weird loser. Thus you want to project and say the Japanese are like you (because misery needs company). We find all sorts of different weabo's around, each different type trying to convince themselves that Japan likes them and is like them.
Yuu Tokiwa is not shy, sorry. People who are shy don't get up and sing in front of thousands of people. People who are shy are in the backass of nowhere and would be terrified to even talk in front of an audience (let alone sing).

Starting at like 3 minutes and 14 seconds, she sings that particular song very well (sounds very similar to on the original track).
She doesn't appear to have the personality though for being a live star, whether or not she is nervous (she certainly looks it) and that adds anxiety to viewers even.
It takes a certain type of person to be a live pop star, it takes a person who is basically a bit of a showoff. A person who isn't thinking stuff like "Oh, they are all looking at me and if I make a mistake it will be embarrassing." but instead is thinking "awesome, I am the centre of attention and they all love me, I will show them my talents and receive extra praise".
It's probably her first big gig.
She's still used by BEMANI as vocalist, so I guess she's doing quite well with her band also

Pretty good guitar pop version. She didn't sound great, but it's a hard song to sing all the way through. Lots of breath are put into those hard long notes.

I mean it is a good song but you can tell that her voice is very different than in the game. most of these reviews are getting a lot of odd ratings. like it is odd that someone got dissed for their opinion of what the lyrics are and then someone else is getting plus 2 for simply saying "murmur twins".
Singing live never sounds the same as in a recording room and then reproduced by speakers. Sorry
Even people can record their speaking in a recording room, then speak to you in real life and the two are very different.

her voice is actually good when it grows on you.I sometimes get used to people singing in offtone.
There is no such thing ass offtone singing, all people have different voices. Not all people can sing with the same tones as the next person and so on, all people have their own voice.

How you think something looks and how they actually feel may not always be the same, because it depends on your own perception (which can be faulty and relies on projection most of the time).

@@pizzadoog It's most likely his coworker is Caucasian, Caucasian women get very angry fast if a Caucasian man shows interest in women from Asia I have noticed. They will call the women ugly, say that have no talent and usually go on racist rants etc. Because they hate the idea of competition, it's a similar concept to how many Caucasian guys get deeply offended by their women liking black men.

The reason she sounds bad is all Japanese singers voices are altered with computers, so a lot of artists in Japan when they sing live it's a lot different than the normal version. The more you know~
