I have had good results by sitting far to the left. Even on the fender. Especially if you don't have more weight on the left wheel. Looks like it's a little wet too.
Looks like you have 7-16 tires on the rear instead of the factory 8-16 size. I had two 448 projects and a lot of attachments then sold everything after I bought a Toro 520xi. My health wasn’t good and I needed something that didn’t need repairs.
A lawnmower can plow that's true. At least you have some ag tires on it. Biggest thing you need is some weight. Your rims look like standard wagon/tractor rims and cast iron front tractor tire weights should bolt right up. Were you really need the weight is on the LANDSIDE. that is, your left tire on the grass doing all the spinning.
You need the right weight to horsepower ratio to plow size. 1 horsepower per plow inch depth per bottom. And 100 pounds of weight per horsepower required. Maybe add some weight over the rear wheels to keep them from slipping. Some tractors allow you to lock the two rear wheels when pulling high traction loads.

I think you would have a much easier day if you had the plow further to the right so that you make more cuts but each cut is a thinner slice. ? Never mind I see you moved it to the right 1 mounting hole later in the video.
I went with the 7x16 if I remember correctly, I had to get 4” wide rims for the tires to fit correctly as you can see in the video. I really liked that tire setup, it worked well. Thanks for watching!
I have a question for you case 446 guys,I have a 85' 446 that ran great, then suddenly won't get fuel, has new battery & plugs so I put a new fuel filter in and it's getting to the carburetor but still nothing,it starts for a second with carb cleaner but won't stay running, is a a fuel pump or the carb?? I'd appreciate any input, live your channel good ol'boy!
There's nothing silly about raising your left tire about 6 inches and sit in there to be level because when that right wheel goes in the ground you're not level anymore
He means that when you have your tractor and plow on a flat surface, set the left wheel up on a 4-6 block. Then adjust the plow share level front to back and side to side. This simulates how the tractor and plow will be when in a good furrow. You might be able to find Brinley Hardy's plow set up instructions on line.@@artszabo1015
I would rather find shelf rock with a plow than a tiller. Virgin soil = plow. Long plants or tough roots = plow. Adding straw to garden = plow. Anything else =tiller.
With the correct setup you can pull these plows with just about anything. I’m pretty sure they make specific set up for four wheelers so you can run a plow desk drag whatever… thanks for watching!
Kinda wet for plowin, but she did it. I have a 446 that I got about 5 months ago. I’d like to make a sleeve hitch and lift mechanism for it. I want to use the tractor for hilling potatoes. My LGT Ford garden tractor only has about 7” of ground clearance. The Case 446 has 11” of ground clearance, as you know, and this clearance will help with not damaging plants and will be able to hill for a long period of time. Any videos or pictures of the sleeve hitch and lift mechanism. Thanks for any help
@@noelstractors-firewood57 Unfortunately this is probably one of the only videos that’s going to have the lift mechanism/sleeve hitch in it. I have unfortunately since parted ways with the case 446, and all of it implements. I love the thing but didn’t want to run it too hard. I pass it on to somebody else that had a smaller garden. I ended up getting a yanmar 1500 D. Obviously there’s a day and night difference between the case and the 1500 D. I don’t really care about the power or the fact that one’s gas and one’s diesel. Really I just had a lot of garden to till up and needed something with a little more capacity. Otherwise I’d still have the 446, they are really awesome handy tractors! Thanks for watching!
Try moving the plow to the hole on the lift closer to the right wheel. Then it will pull better and cut the sod cleaner.

You can make a triangle offset on the plow frame on a tee to allow the lug tires to stay on turf when breaking sod and the plow to the side.

You need a set of tire chains on or one duel on the back opposite the furrow

What size tires did you have on the rear, I want to go with a similar set up

Check the carb float and needle calve is allowing fuel into bowl. Also check idle jet is clean.
What’s that John Deere behind the boat
@@whitneybond6875 it’s a John Deere 1020 diesel with a loader. It’s a unit!

How do you propose raising the left tire?

@@meandthemrs7403 Gotcha! Thanks.
Tiller will go that deep

Will that brinly work on an atv?
