  • In this video I play the monobloc swap game it took a bit but I came up with a good set 389 & 689. The bike originally had two 389’s which I believe were original. I’m using one of the original 389 and a 689 from my dad’s bike that now has concentrics on it . I think I may be able to come up with another set of monobloc’s for a spare set I have a few good 389’s and working on a 689 between to carbs fingers crossed. Thanks for watching feel free to leave a like , comment, or subscribe have a good weekend.

Nice job on the monobloc carbs! Getting ready to put the bottom end together on my '66 A65L. Thanks for posting!

Thank you with a little effort I have a working set and have some spares . Interested to hear about you A65 engine build was it the timing side bush , crankshaft free play , or a general freshen up along with a trap cleaning ?

My bike had about 14k on her and needed a complete rebuild. The bottom and and crank where at EandV engineering for a little over two years doing a needle roller conversion. Not the fastest restoration but like yourself I have a few other projects to fill in while I waited. Still fettling with my Trident carbs. I like how original you’ve kept your BSA’s.

@@gregac9142 That’s close to the same mileage on this bike as far as I know . I’ve been up to Ed’s shop a few times I may be giving him a call soon to discuss some work good to hear he’s still building engines.
